“Yesterday we dined at Tandoori Pizza and were very very happy. We found the best pizza place of Philly. We tried tandoori and achari wings, garlic sticks, chicken curry/tandoori and chocolate chip cookies. Everything was out of the world. Never had desi pizza, wings this tasty. pizza was rich and flavorful. The taste was outstanding, the ambiance was welcoming, and the service was exceptional. The crust was square deep dish chicago style, very good sauce. tons of cheese didn’t really taste the kale nevertheless, spot on! little on the expensive side.
Thai cauliflower wings , perfectly done, tender on the inside crispy tempura batter on the outside very good sauce
Spicy crab fries need work no crab flavor, kale was there but lacking flavor, plenty of cheese on fries, cheese was cold and the fries were little bit dry and cold.
The Fries are overpriced, thicker cut fries would be better.
The blueberry lemonade and a cucumber, mint lemonade a perfect combo with the pizza
This is a very nice place for takeout. The decor is right on with the whole mission. I read a chapter of the book while I was there Muhammad is inspiring.
I think it’s admirable the way they give back to the community. Hope that they will get some sit down seating in the future currently it has barstool and counter seating, would love to see some outdoor seating. Overall a nice experience, reason for four star atmosphere was a little bit loud hard to talk to my friend.
And as far as the food goes a little bit pricey overall, that’s just a personal opinion if it works for them that’s all that matters definitely will be back.“

“Such great food! Crispy, juicy, flavorful… Everything you would want in chicken. And the honey glaze is just the cherry on top. We ordered the rocky’s hot sauce and fried chicken combo meal with original hot sauce and the garlic. We also ordered the Nashville tater tots, every sauce on the menu, and banana pudding. The chicken is just genuinely so good. It melted in your mouth and fell right off the bone. All the sauces were very good and had a home made feel and taste. The tater tots were really good, they had spicy but flavorful seasoning. The banana pudding was so good it was the perfect texture and taste. The service was so amazing, the women who took our order was so sweet and kind. The food was presented neatly and the order was put together with care. Our only complaint about our experience was that there is no indoor seating. The location also only has street parking so you almost have to plan ahead before going. Overall we would go again and again for that great chicken!“

“The staff is always super nice and has a good attitude with great customer service. The food always comes out hot and fresh and you can even watch them cook it. Very cheap for what you are getting. “This is one of my favorite quick or fast food places to eat despite the occasionally solicitation of the poor and homeless in the area.
The operators are always patient and tolerant.
My favorite is the fish being pescatarian now and the fries are great too.
The bathroom although tidy, well supplied and not stinking, is dingy in there which I sometime correlate to the food but so far, so good.
This will remain my favorite spot to go and get fried fish and the cost is not that bad either.“

“Traveling to Philadelphia, I wanted to support a black-owned business. I found BlackHen like most people (through social media of course). The name and the bold decor caught my eye. So creative! I made reservations on Open table (as it's a smaller venue) HIGHLIGHTS: Bri was our waitress , she was very polite and kind. I ordered the 4 wings, with collard greens and candied Yams. I also ordered a Mac and cheese. Oh my goodness... the food was all that. I thought I was in the South. Everything came out hot 🔥. It was crazy delicious. Chicken was fried just right and seasoned so well. My taste buds waa trying to figure it out! Greens were just right not too vinegar and not too sweet. They also had a "kick' to it. Candied Yams could really be the dessert. It was good. The Mac and cheese was.on point. ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT: The meal didnt come with bread or cornbread (I didn't realize it till I was finished) Music- I thought i saw somewhere, that R&B music waa played. Rap (with explicit language) was the only thing in rotation. My daughter is 15 and she commented to me about the music since there waa a family there with two minor kids Please dont look at this as a negative review. Whenever. I'm in Philly. “We've gotten Korean fried chicken wings from here a couple of times and we love it!
The chicken is crispy and the sauce is good, we love the fried rice cake and their radish!
We usually get spicy level 2 and spicy soy.
Spicy level 3 is definitely spicy but good.
Highly recommend eating it right away because once the sauce gets soaked into the chicken it'll no longer be crunchy or just get sauce on the side. The chicken pieces are pretty big! And juicy! If you need your pieces to be sauced up, I would let them know cause sometimes our pieces are only half sauced up, and we just dip more from the bottom.

Customer service has always been friendly, but they always tell us 10-13 minutes and it's literally always taken 25 minutes, which isn't that long cause your at the mall and can walk around but it would be nice to not have to rush back every time to just wait even more. (Just tell people it'll be 15-25 minutes!)

This is definitely our go to chicken spot now and we've recommended it to many friends who also like it. I hope their here to stay and that they get the snow cheese back!“
