“I started going to this ice cream stand this summer, while working at a nearby summer camp. Growing up near many local farms that produce their own dairy, including ice cream, and trying as many ice cream shops as I can in my time, I have to say this is in one of my top 5.
Not sure if it’s the dairy specifically, but the ice cream creations, whether milkshakes or sundaes, are always made well. Not overly saturated with nuts, toppings or whip, but just a perfect balance all around.
They frequently change their specials, and always include traditional ice cream, ice sandwiches, shakes and such all the time.
Their pricing is decent. Nothing crazy expensive, and not dirt cheap to where you’re questioning yourself.
Now, if this were a place that used local dairy, and locally made chocolate and all that jazz, I’m sure it would be even better. But for an ice cream shop that only has 2-3 workers, 2 windows and makes just all around great ice cream treats, if you’re in the area working at a camp, or stopping through, stop here!
If you look at my reviews, I don’t often give 5 stars. I’m a critical critic. This isn’t a fancy presentation or any of that. But I promise you it’s everything you want in an ice cream shop!“

“Dairy Twist is less an ice cream shop and more a temple of frozen excess, a cathedral where the faithful come not to worship but to drown in sugar and cream. The very notion of a “single scoop” here is an affront to the dictionary: what they present could nourish an expeditionary force crossing the Sahara.
To order one cone per person, as we did, is to underestimate the sheer ambition of this establishment. Each serving arrives like a geological marvel, a glacial formation sculpted by the gods of dairy. My friend Jim, poor soul, received his portion in what can only be described as a Chipotle-sized bowl, though unlike burritos, this vessel overflowed with a volcano of brownies and soft-serve ice cream cascading in avalanches of chocolate.
We laughed, we despaired, and then we did what any mortals faced with Olympus-sized desserts must do: we shared, we surrendered, and we reveled in the sweet delirium. It was an indulgence so excessive that one risks either brain freeze or a diabetic trance, yet every spoonful sang of joy.
If ever you wish to taste the sublime absurdity of abundance, Dairy Twist awaits. Enter with courage, bring friends, and abandon moderation at the door.“
