“Just had a fantastic meal tonight at The Hopwood House! The scallop appetizer was amazing!!! I also had a Caesar salad and the Salmon - also very good. My husband had a house salad and the rigatoni with stuffed meatball and loved them! Highly recommend that you all check out this restaurant!”

“They had pumpkin coffee options in April! I was so happy! Got a large Pumpkin Cake Ice Coffee and it was delicious! They even have an XL ice coffee size you can get! Also had their banana pudding it was heavenly ? sweet ladies and very nice place!”

“Hopwood Social Hall is owned by the Hopwood Volunteer Fire Department and has a contract with Myers Catering to do any event that is booked. The social hall had received a face lift years ago and is nice for large parties or weddings. Myers does a wonderful job on decor for those events and does have a large menu to choose from for your food options. The fire department hosts multiple events during the week like bingo.Parking: Parking lots on both sides of building.Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs to enter building or inside building and has multiple handicap parking spaces.”

“This place is great. They're welcoming to everyone and all sorts. The have an AFFORDABLE Golden Tee, fair drink prices, friendly service. Plus any random weekend you might get some free good food!!!”

“Service was great! The coffee was on par with other Mom and Pop coffee shops, but the maple walnut coffee cake was divine. Really excellent location also, very savvy to build it on the corner in the Laurel Caverns vicinity. I would imagine it would be a popular hangout place for youngsters around those parts. “Exactly what Connelsville needed!We travel to and through the area a lot for hiking, biking and kayaking and always needed a good place to stop. Yough River nailed it. We've been a half dozen times and the only complaint is we wish we could make it our regular place! The space itself is inviting, clean and comfortable. Bathrooms are immaculate. The beer- haven't had a bad one yet; they've all been great to excellent. The staff too is the best. Awesome variety of food trucks and fantastic outdoor spot.If you're in the area, give it a try!”

“We really wanted to like the food at this place but, to be honest, we were very disappointed. We were really hoping for real, honest to goodness gyros. Ones made in a mom and pop type shop, thinly sliced off of a vertical, flame throwing grill. Same with the perogi', which were boiled to the point of just plain old mushy. The young lady taking our order was very pleasant and earned most of the stars you see above. I can appreciate the gallant attempt at bringing new food stuff to the area, but if you are going to do that, make it authentic. We see no reason to return.”

“This place is a real gem. The prices are reasonable and the food was fantastic. We had the pork shank, pasta alfredo, double pub burger, and filet tips with gorgonzola alfredo and all of them were absolutely 5 stars. If we're in the area again there is a 100% chance that we'll go back!”

“Everything about this place deserves a 5 star rating: the food is incredible, the service is friendly and personable, the atmosphere is lovely, the little cat that hangs around is even adorable. My partner and I were doing a weekend trip to hike and relax and this was the perfect spot to end on trip on a Sunday. It's not common to see London Fog Lattes on any menu, so I have to try one when I do, and this was one of the best I've ever had. If you're a tea lover, I highly suggest trying it. The Bird and the Angry Bird were both amazing, you can taste the quality in the food and the coleslaw is a must. I can't say enough about this place, everything they're about is positive. We were too full to try a smoothie, so we've decided that's just another reason to return soon.”

“We went out as a family to have a nice early dinner. Had a reservation and only waited about 15 minutes for our table. There were 8 of us. So before arriving we looked online for reviews and looked at the menu. We learned very quickly that the menu and serving sizes are no longer the same as reviews on Google or Facebook. So I'm here to share. So my son and husband thought that the pizzas were a personal pan/small. They both ordered their own pizza. The waitress never said a word. You would think she would say like hey These are LARGE FULL SIZE pizzas, but she didn't. So when their food arrived their puzzas took up so much space and left very little room to eat. We learned we will ask going forward but at an expensive restaurant most servers will say something. Even before the pizzas came there was not much room to eat. The sun was blinding half of us but after seeing the table next to us pull the blinds down on their own we did the same thing. That's usually a server thing but hey maybe she was new or shy? I don't know. Also the youngest at the table was my nephew who just turned 12 that day and he ordered a sampler and wings. When a child orders wings and you know your restaurant serves HUGE JUMBO WINGS that could feed the whole table why wouldn't the server say anything? To me that just seems like common courtesy, I don't know but I've reviewed a lot of places and seems like common courtesy. The food comes in VERY VERY large portions so I suggest to get an appetizer, enjoy the AMAZING BREAD and oil they serve and SHARE a meal. Trust me on this. I wasn't a huge fan with the meal I got. I got the gnocchi lasagna (I believe it was called). The tiny mini meatballs reminded me of the meatballs in Spaghetti Os. I hate to say that but that's exactly what they tasted like. The gnocchi was very very gooey. It wasn't worth the price and the size was a such a waste. We ordered mozzarella logs and those were great! We ordered the Calamri and it was a little chewy but wasn't horrible. The wood fired pizza even though we had way too much of it was pretty good. Nothing special. You do NOT get fresh mozzarella slices on the pizza like photos online show. Everyone else at the table seemed to be happy with their meals. Every single one of us had to get 1 or 2 take out containers bc the serving sizes are so big. So if you go do not be scared to share. I also recommend when making a reservation to make a reservation for a plus 2 so you have room to eat at the table. We had to move our chairs around to even have elbow room to eat. They do have a bar if you n just want to go in for drinks and a nice meet up for lunch or dinner. They have amazing local wine they also offer. We will go back but next time we will be asking our server questions. Lesson learned.”

“Watson Estate BnB & Deer Creek Winery was amazing! Between the food, staff/service, room, wine, views, etc. it was a beautiful experience! This was our first time at a BnB, so we did not know what to expect. To say the least, this place far exceeded our expectations! We loved the scenery and vibes that the courtyard and wrap around porch brought. The swing on the porch was our favorite part. Everything was lit up with twinkle lights and it was so romantic. We chose to stay during february, and the weather wasn’t bad, but we would love to come back during the summer/fall! Our only regret is not staying longer! We will definitely be back and will be bringing friends. Thanks for an awesome celebration for our 5.5 year dating anniversary! As two young, hardworking adults, this was the perfect escape from reality for a night. It truly makes a difference when the staff are so friendly and helpful. Thank you! -Jada”

“Every time that I am in town visiting my parents, I stop here for coffee. I keep it simple with an iced caramel latte with cold foam on top. I can honestly say that this place has some of the best coffee in the US. And I have tried coffee in the big cities. Top-notch here!”

“11-17-23 I tried Coal Patch for the first time. My Stromboli was excellent, Was ready when I arrived and the young lady at the register was very nice courteous and went above and beyond to answer a few questions I had. I'm very please with my first experience and definitely will be back. Excellent ”

“First time here The food was great the staff was friendly and courteous I would have taken a pic of my food but it looked too good to wait I got a ham and cheese omelette and added sausage paired with Texas toast it tasted like they toasted it on a griddle which is a whole lot better I definitely be a repeat customer I just wish they wrote the total on the bill but I understand why they did it that way”

“What a gem! Found this wonderful place completely on the fly. We had booked a place to stay in Ohiopyle only to discover none of the food opens were open (off season). Went for a little drive and stopped here. The place is cute, clean and welcoming. The food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious.Back to add this: We got a bag of 4 pepperoni rolls to eat later. I give them 6 stars! Perfect amount of cheese (as in to to much), fantastic pepperoni, and the bread has just a hint of sweetness. Perfectly balanced flavor.”

“Restaurant has been an icon in the area for years. Noted for good Italian food. Stopped for lunch on a cold Feb day.... It was cold inside as well... Second time recently for lunch there and second time it was cold inside. Will not go during the winter months again. Had a bowl of potato soup, it was good. Server wasn't the friendliest. Plenty of free parking and tables available. Nice cozy bar area.”

Everyone was nice & friendly. It was my first time trying it & I'll be going back for sure. I was able to park on the road but spaces are limited. Might have to park at the garage & walk about a block”

“This is a very homey local place with a rural charm you don't get in the city. Deserts are great, but I usually drive out of my way for the Buckwheat cakes in the AM. These are getting harder to find. Service has always been first rate and friendly.Parking: Large gravel lot.”

“Stopped here as a part of the Laurel Highlands Pour Tour. There was an event happening that day so parking was at a premium. The grounds are nice offering a covered deck, vast grassy areas to sit or walk around and a lake that you can sit by. The tasting room has tables that you can sit inside as well. They offer 4 free samples. They have a wide variety of wines to choose from. They offer meat and cheese plates and crackers for purchase as well. The tasting room employees were friendly and attentive even though they were quite busy. The tasting room also has a lot of wine themed items for purchase.”

“Never been inside but i have them delivered. The food is ok, and they're very nice if they make mistakes. My only flaw i find is the cooking. The pizza dough are finished but the toppings are mostly raw. I ordered several pizzas and all were like that (except pepperoni). Had a Stromboli once and only the exterior was cooked. Inside everything was raw and doughy. I think the oven is too hot, or is their cooking style. I prefer the ingredients cooked though.But the people are extremely nice. Been a long time since I met any as nice. Also, the online menu needs updating.I wish they had pan pizza lol”
