“I have only compliments for the cookies at Crumbl. The large size, the fabulous and always changing selection of cookies - each more delicious than the last. A 4-pack will provide a very satisfying dessert for 4 (or more) people. The staff at Newtown is very friendly and personable; the store is immaculate, the service is quick. Stop in once and I am sure you will return.“

“My sweetheart and I went here on our second date. The original plan was to meet at Dead King Bread in Manyunk, and then hike in the Wissahickon. Dead King was closed, however, and my sweetheart quickly suggested Roma Cafe as an alternative. I'm ashamed to say that I never knew about this bakery. When I think of Italian bakeries, I typically think of South Philly. This is the real deal. An interior that harkens back to earlier times, and probably owners that harken back to an earlier time!

It was here that I discovered that my sweetheart is extravagant with treats, especially sweets. As a bit of a minimalst, I chose a rather bland biscuit. He chose an array of half a dozen treats, including canolies.

When we eventually made our way to the Wissahickon, we discovered that we had each packed more treats for the hike - cheese, grapes. He brought the most wonderful brie from Trader Joes that was as soft and gooey as if you had baked it in the oven. I noted with approval that he was equipped with a good picnic bag, as was I.

As we walked through the Wissahickon, I was captivated by his friendliness to everyone we passed on the trails, including the dogs.

Everything was delicious, and I appreciated that the canolis were petite in size!“

“Really nice small local ice cream shop with about 12 flavors to choose from. The ice cream is flavorful and creamy and the price is fair for the amount you get. Limited seating inside and unfortunately no seating outside, probably because of the neighborhood.

The cake we had envisioned was a three-layer cake, with each layer representing a generation. Frosted Fox turned it into reality. The cake looked amazing and tasted wonderful. They made a cake for my “tea party” bridal shower in the shape of a tea pot which was beautiful. It looked absolutely perfect with all the fine details. The lady at the restaurant of the bridal shower didn’t want to cut the tea pot itself because it was just too perfect. No one has ever seen anything like this before at the party! Cream was light and fluffy, donuts were fresh and airy. However, the Muffin... The muffin was hard, cold, sticky, and had a pasty consistency. The taste was rancid. I only took one bite, and had to spit it out. There was a distinct freezer burn flavor, and an under taste of something fishy... Im not exaggerating. my dog sniffed the muffin, and backed away from it. Even a dog found it unappealing. I don't know if it was a mistake, a broken refrigerator, or a muffin that was left in the freezer months past it's date... but it was foul, and I will never make that mistake again. I'll just stick to donuts from here from now on. Those are amazingly delicious.“
