“Was visting town with some cousin's for a family event, and we chose to stop by Daryl's for some coffee and donuts.- Polite staff- Fresh hot coffee- Delicious donuts and pastries (we went in, ordered a box, sat down, then ordered some more)- Good breakfast egg sandwich- Nice old town / family vibeI asked the staff (I THINK he is Daryl's son) if they had breakfast sandwiches, and was told that they do have egg sandwiches available. I sat and pondered if I wanted to order. After five minutes, the staff just gave me the egg sandwich on the house. Very polite, and much appreciated!All around positive experience my cousins and I had during our stop at Daryl's pastries.“

“I love this pretzel factory. Everyone who works there is so nice! They're also really helpful- it's never a problem getting a pretzel tray, even on short notice. Also, about 90% of the time, the pretzels are fresh and warm. You're not always guaranteed fresh hot pretzels at any time of day, but it just seems like they're always right out of the oven here.“

“The best pretzel place in town. Their pretzels are soft, fresh, and delicious! The staff is great and friendly! They offer a variety of pretzel options, including sandwiches and delicious nuggets. This will always be my go-to place for great pretzels. This place is much much better than the Philadelphia Soft Pretzel Factory chain store with their dark brown, crunchy, gross, dry, overcooked pretzels. “I have enjoyed this place since it opened! The staff is magnificent. They are personable and take care of you! The atmosphere is wonderful. It is a wood decor. There is not a lot of seating inside, but there is ample seating outside. There is a good size parking lot (approximately 15 spots) and more parking right out front. The food and coffee is wonderful!The lattes are not extremely sweet of the syrups I get. This is a preference of mine real and strong coffee locally roasted!“

I had a special birthday this year and some great friends were flying in to help me celebrate. I had traveled with these friends and had many wild experiences, one of which was a very specific picture this fantastic bakery not only replicated flawlessly but made it oh so much better. Yes the cake photo attached is a cake - a DELICIOUS mocha cake that was as good as the artistry was on the outside. If you want a delicious cake, they're the place to go to. “From the tasting to after the wedding, Bredenbeck’s was amazing! The cake came out EXACTLY how I expected it to. It was beautiful! And it tasted amazing! All of my guests really loved every layer (each one was a different flavor). We had a small issue with the filling but Bredenbeck’s rectified the issue right away and took accountability! I look forward to visiting them for another cake order in the future!“

Should have stuck with Dunkin Donuts bc after eating an everything bagel w/cream cheese from there, I’m addicted. “I was very confused when I 1st walked in what looked like an office building only to find Darnel's tucked away in the corner. What a pleasant surprise this place was. I came across them after they were on Good Morning America in a national competition for best breakfast sandwich. That's all I needed to hear to try it and I definitely wasn't disappointed. As you can see I couldn't even wait to bite into it before taking a pic! They even give you the option to order biscuits separately which I've don't on many occasions. MUST TRY!“

“We always use Yum Yum when we want to send a little box of happiness to family and friends. Their donuts are as wonderful to eat as they are to look at. It's a sweet way to say Happy Birthday or a thoughtful pick me up. All of the fillings here at Yum Yum were plentiful and delicious ~ the sugared Lemon was refreshing and light, the Creme Delight was topped with the most delicious chocolate. The Chocolate Thunder was a little disappointing ~ too, too many sprinkles that was a huge distraction from the chocolate icing ~ and this was the only donut that could have definitely used more filling inside. The Raspberry Jelly sugar donut was excellent ~ fresh and packed with lots of jelly, the Peanut Butter Cup was another winner with whipped filling and topped with chocolate and the Boston Cream was even better than expected ~ incredibly smooth custard and filled to the max. The service was outstanding ~ our server was happy to assist us with a courteous attitude and friendly smile.“

Their peppermint mocha is hands down the best, and paired with their incredible pastries (seriously, that cinnamon roll!), it's a match made in heaven. Plus, our dog, Reese is a huge fan of their pup cups, and knowing that all proceeds go to Paws makes it even sweeter. Not only were they able to accommodate my custom cake request super last minute but they brought the inspiration photo I sent them to life in the form of the most flavorful cake that left all our guests raving and wanting more. “The man working behind the counter today was a KING. My friend and I stopped by for the first time and it was really close to closing. “SO Good!! Lost Bread is a bakery and mill in Philadelphia. I found their table at the entrance to the Schuylkill River Park. The table is unassuming, yet filled with so much. They had Table Bread, Whole Grain Croissant, Deli Rye, Spelt Handpies, Milk Buns, Oat Bar, and Cranberry Bran Muffins. I opted for the Pretzel Shortbread Crisps, which are so yummy. They have lasted all week and I already can't wait for the next batch!“

“Alice Bakery is the best! I used to go to their Ambler location (now closed) and I finally got to their North Wales location over the weekend. The cakes, baked goods, bread, and sandwiches are delicious and the service has always been excellent. Check this place out for yourself!“

“Ursa bread is fantastic. Since the pandemic when we were incredibly lucky to have this bread delivered to our door to now it has been consistently wonderful bread baked with love. I go to the farmers markets specifically for this bread. Philadelphia has a number of great new small bakeries but Ursa is at the top!“

“Recently order a cake for my daughter’s baby shower. It was beautiful, tasty and moist. Everyone at the shower loved the cake. I got a 3 tier cake. I wanted strawberry with strawberry filling and cream cheese icing. She suggested I do one tier of a different flavor for those who make not like fruit. We went with one tier of chocolate chip. So happy we did. It worked out so well! I gave her 2 photos for inspiration and it turned out so perfect. Highly recommended!“

“I can't say enough good things about Meg and her work! She was absolutely fabulous to work with for my geeky 1950’s wedding. She was sweet, professional, and up to whatever challenge I could throw at her. From start to finish she was amazing to work with, our trial was delicious and we spent months anticipating getting to taste the amazing cake again. On our wedding day I was so excited to see our Doctor Who themed cake and cup cakes, it was more then I could have ever imagined it to be. All night people commented on the design of the cake, and once it was cut people commented on the taste. I am so glad I was able to save a few cup cakes to take home, I’m not sure we would make it a year to taste the cake again. “I go to Riverwards almost daily for fresh veggies for the day. They have the best produce in the city. The staff is all so kind and accommodating. I always recommend trying to get there early-ish though because they usually run out of a lot by the end of the day!“

“I enjoy Highpoint so much. The food is always delicious. I love the savory quiches. I’m pretty plain ordering herb tea or decaffeinated coffee. On the day we went there was only one staff for a very busy and full cafe. I hope the owners pay their people well and wish they had a plan for a sub to help out. Our barista was working very hard.“

“This is my first time here, and I adore the interior and cozy atmosphere. The croissants were incredibly freshly baked and delicious. The selection of hot and cold drinks is impressive. I plan to revisit this bakery regularly (but bringing my reusable cups if there's an option to use them).The only thing I would like to suggest is using regular ceramic or glass cups. I was quite disappointed to see single-use cups exclusively.“

“whenever I am in Chestnut Hill I always say that I am going to try this restaurant. Well today I did and It did not disappoint OMG…. The restaurant is quaint and cute. The service was excellent and the food was very good. I ordered the broccoli quiche with turkey bacon on the side. That quiche is like none I have ever tasted, flaky crust and the filling reminded me of soufflé but much taster. I also brought 2 cups cakes carrot and coconut to go. I’m sure they are just as good. I can’t wait to go back because I hear there is a different quiche each week. This is my new breakfast place for sure.“
