“The restaurant was quite lovely and the quality of the food was unexpected. We had tried several restaurants in the area and they were mostly mediocre. The food was served hot, and was tasty and plentiful. Had we had more time, we would have returned!“

“A nice small place. Prices are closer to mainstream than dive/small bar. The bar seats are close to the tables and so you feel a bit in the way at the bar as ppl walk past. I just stood to get around that.I am here March 16th so there was a ST Patrick’s menu. I am a corned beef prick, spoiled by a wife who “corns” her own. So I tried to account for that in my food rating (4/5). The beef was rubbery and lacked the taste of pickling spices I expect. Knowing I’m a prick I ordered potato cheese soup to try to give an honest rating. It was a good potato soup but no cheese was obvious (garnish out otherwise). That said I assume it was a special board typo and judged as a potato soup it was good! The staff was attentive, no empty glasses! That is critical. Everyone was keeping busy. There must be a happy manager here. No leaning just cleaning.Single bathroom, small but clean.I appreciate the obvious effort of the woman that I assume is the owner or manager. She seems to care and the clientele seem to appreciate her presence. Will be back. Just wish they opened earlier than 3 so that this could be the first part of my day drinking.“

“This is another diner where you step back in time as soon as you pull up to the front of the place. When you walk in you feel like you are back in the 1950s or '60s. I have been a chef all my life, so I can only give it three stars on food, but five stars on everything else. I'm sure you will love “

“**EDIT**...at the bottom after 3rd visit.I hate to give a 1 star review... especially when we never got a chance to try the food! Four of us came in on Saturday around 1pm and the sign said "wait to be seated" so we waited for about 10 minutes and then sat ourselves at a table in site of the bartender. There was only about 4 other tables with people at them and maybe ½ dozen people sitting at the bar. No one came to our table even though the bartender made eye contact with us several times. She did eventually go to another table, not sure if she was taking their order or getting their check.... but she walked on by us without a word. After 20 minutes at the table we got up to leave and then she came over and said she was short handed & could take our order after she got a few drinks for people at the bar. Another girl was going to help her out... but she went out side for something so we decided to leave. We figured if it took that long to get service it would be a long wait for our meals. So we decided to give it another shot and came back Tuesday around 6:30 PM and walked in and the place was empty. We asked the bartender if we could sit anywhere and she said they were closing early... because they were slow! It's not that close for us to get to so it's a little disturbing that we made 2 attempts and never even got to try the food.... I hear the BBQ is very good. Kelly's and Hoss's got our business on those 2 failed attempts at Woody's.**EDIT**So the 4 of us came back to give it one more try on Thur afternoon. Ashlee was our waitress and she was fantastic... she gets an A+, her attitude and service was awesome. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The ladies both had Carolina pulled pork and margaritas and loved it all...wi was so good they both got a second meal to go!I had the trio of tacos, beef brisket, pulled pork, and mesquite chicken. 3 Huge tacos that were loaded and tasty... I think my favorite was the beef brisket taco.... the baked beans were killer too! My buddy had the ribs and said they were delicious...lots of meat on them and he couldn't finish it all so he had to take some home. We all had the coconut custard pie for desert and it too was very very good...huge slices that each couple shared. Did I mention our waitress Ashlee... She was phenomenal!I'm glad we gave it another try and we'll definitely be back next time we're in town.“

“First time visit for lunch on a Saturday. I would describe it as quaint and homey inside (as you’d expect eating in a railroad car). The waitresses were friendly and seem to have a good relationship with long-time customers. The wait might have been longer, as it’s very small and a number of people were waiting for a table, but we took a couple seats at the counter. To get to the point - the food is excellent! We had burgers and fries, so nothing fancy, but those were some fantastic burgers. Try the Texas burger, which is messy but so good! Sadly we sat in front of the dessert case - drooled over the pies, but after finishing lunch, we had no room left for dessert. It’s a longish drive for us, but we’ll definitely be back!“

“In February 2006, my wife and I had our first date here while attending Juniata. Over 17 years later, I got to bring my daughter there this past weekend and I'm very happy to report that nothing has changed!Reasonably priced, great menu. The spoon shakes are outstanding and it's like coming back home. Can't wait to make it back.“

“This is always the first thing we eat when we get back in town as takeout. The steak and cheese stromboli is always are stuffed full with meat and cheese with a marinara sauce that doesn't give me heartburn. Love the dough and cheese in the stromboli and on the pizzas. There's a good chew to the dough that isn't too tough and the cheese has a bit of a pull. Leftovers taste good too the next day (hot or cold). Great pizza for a great price!“
