“This is old-fashioned food. You'd have to pull up their menu and close your eye's and imagine. I've been eating there over a course of 30 yrs while visiting friends from the region. I just had a Big Johan fish sandwich and fries with gravy .The fish fills the complete bun the size of a whopper. My friends ate here as high schoolers in the 70's ,It's an area institution , this is great eats.“

“I love the variety of sushi options they have available. I ordered three rolls; mango shrimp, tuna avocado and sweet potato and they were delicious! Very filling, and I had enough for leftovers. I highly recommend this place if you want a fresh rich tasting sushi that is reasonably priced.
Vegetarian options: At a quick glance they had vegetarian rolls like sweet potato, avocado, and California roll“

“I stopped for dinner while riding across PA during Crush the Commonwealth. What a surprise to find in Chambersburg! Some of the best pita/hummus/falafel sandwiches I’ve ever had. Service excellent, the owner incredibly gracious. I wish I had known about this place sooner. When people start plotting next year’s ride, I’m telling them to bypass Rutters/Sheetz/Royal Farms and get some delicious real food!“

“My husband and I have been a few times, and this past time we had the pleasure of our cook being Jacob. He came out as a break, and we expressed how great the food was and how flavorful it is and every single thing on the menu literally is fantastic especially the French onion soup with the beef tenderloin, and my husband had the duck on the appetizers which he says was fantastic and for entrées I've had the crabcakes And my husband has had the scallops again. Everything hears fantastic. The service is great but I would recommend a reservation, but this is our favorite restaurant in Waynesboro or Chambersburg. He was so kind as to thank us for being there he gave us a quart of free chili, and that again fantastic!! Thank you, and we will be regulars lol but serious!!! I wish I had photos to add, but it really doesn't matter because it would not even do it justice. You have to try the food, and I have read one of the reviews where it said the food was bland, and that they would not be back which is outrageous and I think just maybe they were, having a bad day because the food here is like I said wonderful & is VERY flavorful!!!“

“Well I gotta tell ya, we started out a little shaky with a long wait, but more than made up for it with the food. The young lady that was out front was doing her best to keep up with the register and ordering, the kitchen was slowing things down. When it was all said and done though, the food was well worth the wait. Great flavor and the quantity was off the hook. I can put away some food, but I was struggling to finish the large California Burrito. My wife got the steak Quesadilla and had to save half for later. And the Flan was to die for. I only ordered 1, but she gave us 2. I can only assume to make up for the wait. We will eat there again and I may try the Tacos with cow's head. I had to ask what that was, because the menu just says "head."“

“I ordered carry-out from here a couple days ago for the first time. Got the aji de gallina, my go-to order at any Peruvian restaurant. It was SO salty. Like all I could taste was salt. I was like “okay, that obviously isn’t right. Maybe I just ordered on a bad day”. So I just ordered again today. I got the arroz chaufa with shrimp. Now that was tasty, and look at the huge portion! I have enough leftover for another meal, maybe two! I’m glad I gave this place another shot. I’ll definitely try the aji de gallina again later, maybe next week“

“Excellent Mexican food! Reminded me of some of the local Mexican restaurant's in San Diego.Update - Just went back after two years since I'm not from the area. The place was packed and the food was really fresh and very good. I've included a photo of my pork carnitas which were exceptional. Really reminds me of the outstanding Mexican food found in SoCal!“

“A first time visitor on a Friday evening (01/19/24), here is my take on the experience: they were busy, but extremely welcoming, and in no way did it feel like it was intimidating to await a table. A very kind hostess greeted us, and helped to steer us to a table. The food portions are like what a family meal is about, and the home-made spaghetti sauce was excellent. In today's busy, short-attention-span world of mindless, TikTok'ed idiot experiences, this first visit was like experiencing something as it should be. We would tell there were regulars there as well as maybe 'non-frequent' customers, and that sense of community was just amazingly comfortable. It's kind of hard to even describe other than a quick 'Mayberry meets practical with awesomeness' impression, which to me, means a lot. Too many moments anymore of rushed/processed interactions that occur with customer service in so many areas, but this visit was just as it should be: comfortable, great people, great atmosphere, great food, a very kind server, a manager who even checked with us at one point; it was like I was able to not have to think about the insanity of the rest of the world for a little while, and just enjoy a meal in a comfortable setting. How often can one say that they were really comfortable at a food service? It's little things like that that really add up to making us wanting to make this place a regular go-to, and that is much appreciated. Online reviews may be across the board in pertinent context to the reader, but for this reviewer, this restaurant hit the mark on all points of value.“

Would definitely recommend this place and will be eating there again!“

“My most recent dining experience was above par for sure. This low key sushi bar came as highly recommended by both family and friends, so I wanted to eat at Volcano for a while now and am glad to have had the experience. The ambience was welcoming, not too bright or loud, which I favor. We ordered a small sampling of appetizers, kitchen dishes and sushi. What they did best was the sushi. The white tuna was so delicate and buttery and my fiancé loved loved loved his sushi roll! I really wish that our noodle dish was seared well, but it was missing that caramelized noodle finish that one really desires in an asian noodle dish unless a noodle soup is what you order. Everything else was however fantastic. We will return; a Chambersburg area date-night destination for sure!!!“

“Our whole family has been coming here for over a decade, it is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants I've been to - including when I lived in CA. Their service is excellent, and just recently had them cater for a party- people talked the whole night about the fab food. huge hat tip, and thanks!“

“When I walked in I thought this was going to be fairly basic food. But I was absolutely wrong! This place was amazing. The services was TOP TIER and the food genuinely blew me away. Their menu was so much bigger than I could’ve imagined. We had about 20 people and we all got something different including pizza, lobster ravioli, buffalo chicken stromboli, and their homemade gelato! The mango gelato on brioche was honestly the best dessert I’ve ever had. I could not recommend this place more.“

“If you like/love Mexican food, you will not be disappointed. I’ve eaten here twice in 3 days. First I had the Birria Tacos and then I had the Alambre and Barbacoa Tocos. That green sauce is spot on and has a nice little kick. I will be going back a couple more times before leaving!
Parking: The free parking is down the road at the near by plaza but it’s not far at all. There is also metered parking on the street.“

“The reason I have high cholesterol JK ?'Tis a rarity to find petso, especially tortellini in PA. This place serves it for under $20 bucks. It's a win-win.The place has that ole Italian family-everyone-is-welcome-vibe. Great for kids and entertaining large groups, especially in the summertime.Minor Critiques: the soup could be better & the bread could be bigger to match the entree size.“

“Amazing fried rice and yum yum sauce, the hibachi never disappoints, my only complaint is that the shrimp is very hard and rubbery in texture, like it's been freezer burnt or something. Other than that, this place is great for takeout :)“

“Excellent food, awesome drinks, service was fabulous and a relaxing ambience. I haven't been to the orchards since 2019 and so many things have changed for the better. We ate in the bar area and even though the bartender was swamped, he was attentive and very personable. We definitely will be back.“

“Typically we come here frequently on Mondays. This time when we visited service was quick but the waiter was inexperienced or did not care about his job. We were given no napkins with our food. Overall they were a little busy but Napkins are something that all customers need. The food was excellent but the service was worse than expected and left much to be desired.“
“We stopped in on a Saturday evening for live music. There was a pretty decent crowd when we arrived but we didn’t wait long to order food or drink. It’s seat-yourself so you order at the bar then go find a seat. If you order food too they will give you a table number and come find you. We tried a couple IPAs and two ales. The beer was good. We ordered a chicken bite special and shrimp tacos. I didn’t realize until we were half done eating the chicken that it wasn’t the special, but the regular menu item. It was loud when we ordered, the cashier probably just misheard what version we wanted. Not a big deal. It was still good. The tacos were ok. They were a bit skimpy on the shrimp and I’m judging that based on what ours looked like versus another tray we saw the server carrying. We ate them anyway. The band was very good. They were set up in the back of the building in the listening room area. The atmosphere was upbeat and casual. I’d go again to see another band sometime.“

“It’s probably been twenty years since I have stepped foot in this restaurant, thought we’d give it a whirl for takeout. I wish I had time to sit; this would be the perfect kind of diner place to write, or do some paperwork. Plenty of tables, and you could be left alone with your coffee or tea if you chose-but, I don’t have the time for that- I’ll put that on the bucket list. In the meantime, the order was nicely taken over the phone and ready when I got there. I was picking up for some else-order chicken tenders and fries - metered parking right out on the street and a lot literally across the street. Plenty of seating available, nice solid diner type menu chicken tender basket included 3 tenders.“

“Great steak teriyaki and fried noodles and orange chicken and white rice. This is the type of restaurant if you like eating hot fresh right away and don't have room for leftovers later. Doesn't taste the best left over but aten immediately.“

“Stumbled upon this little pub in our travels. The food was delicious, the prices were reasonable, and the staff was friendly! We ordered fried mushrooms, a chicken quesedilla, and garlic parm old bay wings. ? had IPAs on tap and full liquor bar. No complaints here, other than the atmosphere could use maybe a little better lighting and decorations, but for a cute little dive bar, it was an excellent Thurs evening to experience some place new! Cheers ?!“

“Great visit here at RR. Family of 4 dining in. Burgers are great even though not cooked to temp I really like but was still juicy so why complain. Fries were hot a fresh. Kids lived the root beer floats. My 5 year old never eats his meals but he ate very good here. The grease needed changed for fryer because you can taste the burnt oil on the Cinnamon donut ring things but still overall good. Service was about average but got being a Sunday afternoon and being crazy busy I totally understand. Well come back here over the Hagerstown location any time. Than mk you for an enjoyable meal“

“We had a pepperoni and a vegetable pizza. They were both very good. I noticed the unique way of cooking the pizza they had. First oven was used to brown up the bottom of the pie, then the second oven was used to finish the top of the pizza. It made for a very delicious pizza pie when cooked that way ??!“
