Now the food Chicken was good kind of dry, all had a good char from the grill. I really thought it would have more culinary touch based on what I heard about this spot but it's just smorgasbord of random ingredients and recipes he can put together. Falafel was good more towards the crispy side. Flavor was decent nothing to go crazy about. If I am looking to get fair price food for a good amount and there's a 5min wait then it's a must, but if waiting 30-45 minutes not even worth it. But the amount is generous we had left overs later on.“

Jenny Smoothie in Roxborough is absolutely amazing. I’ve been coming to Jenny since she first started years ago back when she was running the food truck, and it’s been incredible to watch her grow into what she has built today.

The owner is genuinely one of the best people—great personality, amazing energy and aura, and you can tell she puts real love into everything she makes. The customer service is always on point, and she actually remembers me every time I come in, which makes it feel personal and welcoming every visit.

Everything is made with care and you can taste the love in it every single time. She truly deserves all the success coming her way and more. I’m so proud of how far she’s come and can’t wait to see what she does next.

“I’ve visited on several different occasions, and I always pay attention to how the cooks prepare the food. There’s one cook in particular — I think his name starts with a B — who I don’t see as often anymore, but he is always so friendly and welcoming. Every time he’s the one cooking my order, the food is perfect. I actually reorder certain items because I know he’s there.

Don’t get me wrong, the other cook is okay, but there have been a few mistakes on really simple items. I mostly order online, and I will forever be a Lil Trent’s fan, but I have to be honest — the dark-skinned cook definitely deserves more hours. He really does his thing back there.“

I ran into them later at a food truck festival, introduced myself, and they gave me pizza to try—it was amazing and I breathed a sigh of relief that we chose wisely. Fast forward to June 17, day of wedding, and I was nervous—would people have to wait too long for pizza, did we choose types people would enjoy? No one ever had to wait for pizza, they served it up and had another hot one ready to go. Everyone was so nice and customer service was some of the best I’ve experienced! “I love Zsa's and I have to exercise self control every time I pass. It's a local gem and sooooo yummy. The brown butter pecan is my absolute favorite but I haven't found any flavors that I didn't like. I love that they have vegan and gluten free options (including cones). Service is usually quick even when the line stretches past the building. So glad a new owner was able to take over and it didn't have to close... and that they brought in some new flavors. The matcha, Thai tea and mango sticky rice all slapped 🤤 I can't wait to see what else they come up with!“

The pork roll is usually cut very thin with a nice braise on it. It had egg & cheese on it. The egg & cheese were warm the meat was cool, no grill color to it. By the time I took the egg & cheese off there was hardly any pork roll, very disappointed. It was “no change” Friday, so I gave my apprentice 15 dollars for a sandwich I couldn’t even eat.“

“I visited the truck during my lunch break to pick up lunch for me and my mother. We both got the chicken over rice with the salad. The man in the truck was very nice and personable. The person in front of me ordered six plates, and he served them promptly. When it was my turn order, he greeted me warmly and served the food fairly quickly. The food is delicious and the portions are great, the meal comes with a drink as well. it's a plentiful serving because I only ate half for dinner and had the other half the next day for lunch and it was just as delicious. The food here is in a whole different league than anything you'll get at one of the cali-mex or tex-mex burrito chains (prices are about the same). The shrimp tacos combine tender & juicy shrimp with pico de gallo and a creamy/spicy sauce--tastes like it's mayo or sour cream based. The steak tacos have chopped white onions and fresh cilantro. Both come in real-deal double soft corn tortillas. Squirt some lime on everything! Enjoy a perfect lunch. But don't bother with their little salsa cups, both green & red are lackluster.“

“Kelly and Amarildo at Byzantine Empire were absolutely amazing as the catering service for my wedding (~50-60 people) in the Philadelphia suburbs a few weeks ago. Before the event, they were extremely helpful and responsive. For the day of, the portions were very generous and the cost was very reasonable. All of my guests raved about the food and no one left hungry. We had a grazing table, served apps, and the mains were salmon, lamb shank (this is what I had and it was awesome), and a beef rib cheesesteak (huge!). Individual creme brulees were served instead of a cake which were delicious. I highly recommend them.“
