“Without posting a long drawn out review, Philter makes the best espresso drinks around, hands down. The owner Chris and his team are always friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable. It’s rare to see a coffee shop that will take the time to ensure they’re pulling properly dialed in shots. Order a cortado, a double shot, a pour over or whatever you want… whoever you choose it’ll be great!“
“Had never heard of it, stopped in after a long work night early in the morning. Got the sunrise sandwich, which is basically their customizable breakfast sandwich, bacon, egg and American on a toasted sesame bagel. It's not exactly a delicacy, but man they really elevated it. It was perfect. Bagel was perfectly chewy and toasted, good amount off crispy but not hard bacon, melty cheese. It hit the spot!And the muffins? ? I got chocolate chip, they offered to toast and butter it, which I'm normally not a fan of, but I went with it. I REGRET NOTHING. Excellent flavor, light crispness from the toasting, perfect amount of chocolate chips and not too sweet.$9 for the sandwich (bit high), $4.95 for a muffin that's huge, $6 iced coffee. $21.15 total. Definitely a bit high for breakfast, but it was so worth it. I'll be back for sure.“
“This cafe has such a beautiful calming ambiance! I ordered the coconut chai and it was refreshing and not too sweet! The service was perfect! the only complaint I have is that it was pretty hot inside the cafe. I also had a carrot loaf slice which was an excellent pairing with the chai!“
“Don’t let the fact that Cafe Americana is in a shopping center prevent you from trying them out for breakfast!! Their food and service rival other restaurants in more historic districts of Kennett Square, and the prices are great!My breakfast was served on matching white stoneware, and my beverages were in actual glass glasses— not what I expected in a strip mall joint! And, my apple juice came in a full size glass!The scrambled eggs were just as I like them — “dry,” the sausage was delicious, and the home fries were perfectly fried and seasoned. But the star was the French toast. It was marvelous with nothing but powdered sugar on it! (Syrup pitchers are on the tables, and there are other topping options.)My server was very attentive, and everything in the restaurant was so clean!By the by, not only can you get a fabulous breakfast at Cafe Americana, you can also get tacos!“
“I had assistance from a barista wearing an apron with the name "Delilah" printed on it. She gave me very good advice and assistance when I didn't know what I wanted to order. She deserves a raise (and I hope she gets one!) Not everyone is willing to be as patient and kind as she was.“

Better to read the menu online on your phone.Parking: I always park at the Kennett square garage. Easy to access downtown, clean, and safe.“
