“Saw a sign for croissants on the sidewalk at 203 South State Street, Newtown, PA. I quickly turned into the parking lot remembering I have been wanting to stop in to this shop. OMG!!! No disappointment here. As I walked up to the front door, you could smell the deliciousness seeping through the openings. This will be my first stop in on Sundays in the future. “I recently purchased cream filled donuts, cherry crumb, pie, and apple caramel walnut pie. Everything and I mean everything is delicious.! The cherry pie reminds me of my mom’s homemade. I thoroughly enjoyed the cream donuts. It’s my favorite donut from when I was a child. Many bakeries have closed over the years so it’s hard to find one that meets my expectations. Riehl’s Bakery has done that. Also compliments to the young man that waited on me. He was friendly, helpful and had manners. Thank you. I’ll be back.“

I am not good at using big words to describe how it tasted ( like a proper food critic would) ,but what I can tell you is that it has made me a regular customer for sure!! For those of you that grew up in the 70's, I'll describe it like this..remember snuffles the dog (Huckleberry Hound), whenever he was given a treat, he would hug himself.make strange noises and then float up and then down to the ground?
