“We live in Los Angeles. We were visiting family in Philly and came to Lancaster for the day on a Monday when most of the restaurants were closed. Someone steered us to The Coffin, and we had an excellent time. The food was delicious, and we were particularly delighted with the bao buns. They were just as good as the pork belly buns that were our favorite dish at an LA Asian restaurant that closed during the pandemic. Service at The Coffin was prompt and cordial, and the decor was a kick. Highly recommend.“

“Always a fun time at our local Villa Nova Sportsbar & Grill. We were out walking with our little pup & were welcomed to stop in at the outside patio. Well, it ended up to be such a relaxed wonderful time. Toby, the pup, met new friends. We enjoyed amazing cocktails & dinner. Toby was served a grilled hotdog that just made his day. Maddie, our waitress, just made us feel so at home… great food, drinks & just a fun enjoyable relaxing time!! Thank you!!“

“Bert and The Elephant has great service, but the vibe is what really makes it special. It truly feels like you’re in Belgium! The food and drinks are amazing, and to top it off, I also found out that Bert’s and my family are from the same neighboring town on an island. Then to make it better me and him were born in the same town in a whole different country across the world, such a small world. Bert is a great guy, but his explanation about the beers, the technique behind the foam and how to enjoy it was mind blowing!! Jess was soooo good as well! Can’t wait to come back!“

Columbia Kettle Works 2nd Gear Taproom Brewery •
112 N Water St, Lancaster

“We sat inside, but I think one of the coolest parts about this place is their patio. It has a ton of room out there and is filled with all types of plant life. There is a great selection of board games and cards to pass the time while drinking some brews. The brewery had a nice selection of their own beer and other locally sourced beer. Bartender was super nice and personable.“

Bar 1888 Bar • $
100 S Queen St, Lancaster

“One of the more surprising details about Lancaster is that you can get very high-quality cocktails here. The best place to do so is Bar 1888. Perched in the center of City Market South, you can grab food from one of the dozen-or-so diverse food stands and then settle in for an often rotating, inventive cocktail list...often including esoteric flavors and ingredients (salted tomatillo syrup for the win). One of my favorite stops in downtown Lancaster.“

When I walked in I was greeted by the manager I wish I could remember his name sorry for that I asked him about the beer he showed me what he had I bought what I wanted . Before I left. I asked the hostess about the whiskey I saw. Bottom line if your looking for a great place for beer and whiskey and other spirits you will be hard pressed to find one better.“
