“Visiting from NYC, I stopped by this place while at the mall with my family, and it really hit the spot! As someone originally from Philly, I’m pretty particular about cheesesteaks, and I’d rate theirs a solid 8/10. The fries? Easily a 9/10—some of the best I’ve ever had!
It’s not often I write long reviews, but I felt this place deserved one. The only downside was the service: the employee at the register didn’t seem very happy, and they don’t offer free refills, even on a slow, quiet night.
Overall, the food quality outweighs the minor drawbacks. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!“

“Visiting Newtown PA and I was craving a REAL Italian hoagie after moving to VA years ago. Can't get a good one out by us. Ordered the Italian Supreme, a turkey, and a crab cake sub. Finally! A place that makes a meat log Italian sub the way I like. They even had the sweet peppers I like. The crab cake sub was also great with a nice meaty crabcake that had a slightly sweet flavor. I understand the Newtown location is new and getting established. They made a minor mistake with our order and made it right above and beyond. I wish these folks great success so I can come back again. Serious good fresh ingredients and they really know how to make a great hoagie! Love these guys!“

“Had food delivered today by doordash. The cheesesteak was very good. It was hard to eat because the meat kept sliding out of the bread. Ordered a side of fries and a drink. You get alot of fries but no option to choose the drink you want they just send Pepsi. I'll order again if I'm in the area.“

“Slack's is a family staple, my late Aunt Annette, the entire family get's together each year at Valley Green for a picnic on the bench my Uncle Joe, her sisters husband built over 15 years ago! “Hoagies are done within minutes and you pay for what you get. Great hoagies!! I see people here complaining about the prices and the amount of meats… that go elsewhere with your cheap bank accounts. Prices of meats have gone up and you’re in here complaining about”I only got 3 pieces of meat!” Stop complaining and enjoy there great sandwiches. If not drive down the road to 7-11 and get a soggy hoagie that’s been sitting ALL DAY!! Keep up the great work.“

“I love your hoagies. They are the best. However, for the first time, my order was incorrect. I ordered a 9" hoagie and got a 6" hoagie. Also, my Italian hoagie did not contain the peppers I requested. I already settled up with Grubhub, but you should know someone is not doing his job correctly.“

“The service was good. I was glad that the employee took his time ⏲️ and got my order correct. I told once he was focused on getting the job done right the first time. I really appreciate that. Knowing some of the less than stellar service I received at other places.“

“Usually great hoagies. Haven’t had a primo in a few months. My wife and I were out shopping. Called and ordered 2 hoagies. Went to pick them up. Got home and there was no lettuce, tomato or onions. They asked about oil and vinegar and my wife said no dry please. Very disappointed after getting home. Will choose somewhere else next time we’re hungry for a hoagie.“
