“We heard there was a grand re-opening of Fox's Pizza Den in Ligonier with brand new owners and decided to give it a taste. Make note that the new owners took over, made some serious changes, and reopened this establishment on 3/20/23. So if you are looking at any old negative reviews before this date, pay no attention to any of those and seriously give them a re-try.We haven't had much luck with other Fox's Pizza Dens with consistency and customer service, but we were driving in the area and decided to give this Fox's a try. We were greeted immediately by one of the new owner Andrew and were planning on dining half in and bringing the other 1/2 of the pizza home. The pizza was quickly made by their older daughters and staff and served with a smile by their youngest sweet daughter, Ariana. It was the best looking Pizza that I have seen in a long time! We ordered the Big Daddy Pizza, pepperoni, and sausage. It came to about $27. Now I have ordered pizza from other places and you know you pay for each individual topping. But what surprised me with this pizza was that my pizza was generously loaded with our toppings! Like, my family cringes when we have to pay so much extra at other places, and you're lucky to get 2 pepperoni on each slice. Every bite was deliciously loaded, and the flavors blended well. Pure perfection! What I also loved about this establishment was the owners Andrew and his lovely wife Shela, also own a non-profit organization called Heros Never Alone. Their love for military veterans is also shown in their decor in Fox' dining room. A stunning wooden American flag that was locally made for them covered one wall, while table decorations in red, white, and blue are displayed on their tables and in their store front window. In their store front window, they show tribute to the veterans and also law enforcement. I was told that if I wanted to bring an 8x10 picture of my husband who served, they would display it. Their hope is to get as many pictures of veterans as possible so they can line their business walls with it. How special is THAT!?! Parking can be hard for all the businesses in Ligonier as there are parking meters everywhere you turn and you have to park and walk to your destination. This was no exception. However, if you are short that quarter, they are happy to provide one to you without worry. They said they do this because you are choosing to do business with them, you chose them for your meal. They also have a beautiful dining area outside with tables and chairs for when the weather gets nicer, you can choose to take your food outside. The atmosphere was positive from the moment we walked in until the moment we walked out! Bravo Fox's Pizza Den in Ligonier! I know they are going to contribute something positive to their local community, all while helping military veterans at the same time!“
“Came here for dinner with husband and two kids. Had a buffalo chicken salad, which was amazing! Kids had chicken and fries which they LOVED and ate every bite of. Husband had a Cuban and fries which he also loved! Waitress was laid back, personable, and super on top of things. Right off of a busy road, but do not let the location deter you. When we pulled up, we thought there would be a huge wait due to all of the cars parked there, but didn't realize there is a bar side and a restaurant side. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in an were able to be sit down and order straight away. Only waited about 10 minutes for our appetizer and about 10 more for our food to come. The fried green beans and fried pickles app was delicious too and the Wasabi ranch it came with was our favorite part of the whole meal. I would give this place 10 stars if I could! Definitely would come back here if we come back to the area and would recommend to anyone traveling to this area in the future.Kid-friendliness: Ours are 5 and 9 and . Waitress even brought our boys out some crayons“
“Highly recommend!!! Nestled in the heart of Ligonier, Gino's Pizza is a local gem that delivers on its promise of amazing pizza experience. Gino's menu offers a variety of pizza options as well as delicious desserts. Beyond their pizzas they also offer BYOB. The service at Gino's is warm and welcoming, with staff members who go above and beyond to ensure that every customer enjoys their experience. This was our first visit after a night of skating with family and friends. We look forward to our next visit!“
“My daughter and I just had a combo birthday celebration (21st/50th) at Ianni’s “Babes”. They did a fabulous job! They had the food out quickly & monitored to keep it replenished. Our waitress was phenomenal! No one waited for a drink. Always great food there & great staff. If you are looking for a place to host a party, I encourage you to check out Babes!“
“Chill dive bar. The hot wings weren't very hot but they were crispy and not gamey. Their wing breading was unique, light and crispy. We ordered a small pizza with 3 toppings. The dough and sauce were sweet, which I personally do not like. But the amount of toppings was very generous. Service and atmosphere were good so we will be back but probably won't order wings again (just cuz lack of heat) and definitely wouldn't order pizza again.“
“What a fantastic place. It's different from a traditional restaurant. If I have this correct Rosemary started by her love to cook and feed family and friends. It took off from there and really never lost the charm of cooking for family and friends. This was my first time there and everyone working there is family. Mike cooks the pizza in a wood fired oven seen in the picture. His cousins Nadine and Kristen are the most wonderful waitresses. Also in the pictures are a picture of the front and back of the menu. We sat in the barn as you see in the pictures filled with round tables and a couple booths. It was so cool and it started to rain and the metal roof sounded so nice and cozy. There's tables outside in the lawn so on a nice evening you could sit there and there's a couple tables outside of the barn under the porch roof. There's also another separate pavilion area in between the barn and the wood fired oven that you can sit at. I'm not sure about indoor dining. I think they have it but I'm not sure because this was my first time. The pizza was excellent. We had the margarita which was delicious and I got the diablio which was sweet and spicy. It was so good! However, my wife liked the margarita better and didn't really care for the sweet and spicy. We also tried the chicken wings which are done in olive oil, rosemary and garlic and we're excellent. We saw others getting family salads which is just what it is, a big salad for the table to share and meatball parmesan which I was told is really good. We will definitely go back. It's cash only. And BYOB. They do not charge a corking fee and you can bring your own dessert. And I think you're allowed to bring your own non-alcoholic beverage (water, soda) They don't want you bringing other food. Just dessert is allowed. Also, if you bring a bottle of wine, bring your own glasses. They had some clear plastic cups to accommodate us but said sometimes they run out. It's paper plates and plastic utensils which don't bother me. It's all part of the charm of the place. However, I read a review before we went and a gentleman was disappointed with the atmosphere. ?It is seasonal for eating there. However, I believe they still do takeout all year around, but I would call first. It also gets quite busy. However the night we were there the weather was calling for rain so it wasn't quite as busy as normal. You can make reservations by calling them at 4:00. I hope you give it a try and I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.“
“Drove from Johnstown to try this restaurant. It was worth the drive. Wings were great. Graham cracker pie was delicious. Zucchini planks awesome. Will definitely be trying this establishment again. Plus to top it all off it also has a wide selection of ice cream if that’s all you want because it has a drive up take out window. Try this place. You won’t regret it. It’s a great place to get a home cooked meal.“
“First time here. Nice and big inside. Plenty of seating. Cool Pittsburgh decor. Waitress was very friendly and engaging. The food was excellent! All dressings and sauces are homemade. My husband had the grilled chicken salad with the house italian dressing. My daughter had the chicken tenders with the honey mustard sauce. My son and I had the Jack Daniel's Chicken sandwich...the Jack Daniel's BBQ sauce was excellent. I used it to dip my fries. SOOOOOOOO GOOD!!!!!!! Appetizers we had the onion rings, pretzel sticks and mozerella sticks. Everything was so good. We will definitely be back.“
“Had the privilege of having carasellas for the first time yesterday. I chose a place I've never had for my birthday. Let me tell you got 3 extra large pizzas, all absolutely amazing. We all loved it and will be ordering always from now on. Was hot, fresh and loaded! Keep up the great work, looking forward to trying more items.“
“The young man who took my order over the phone was so polite on the phone, and even when I went in to pick my order up he was just as polite in person and had a smile on his face. Didn't get his name but has dark hair and glasses. He is definitely an asset to the business! Will be back for more of their food as have never had a bad experience there!“
“This place will not disappoint you. I tried them out for a steak hoagie bread sticks with cheese and some hot pepper cheese balls for the first time a week ago. The hoagie is one of the best I've ever had everything is cooked so good it looks like fresh ingredients. This week I ordered the same exact hoagie became the exact same way perfect I also wanted to try something new which was their pepperoni and cheese pinwheels. For the price I was expecting something small but that was not the case they are very good at doing what they do their food is delicious. The price is great the quality is great you have to try them out you will not be disappointed. They are definitely going to be my go-to place to order from hands down. :) I will be trying pizza next..“
“The food here is great but it seems weirdly over priced for what it is. That being said, this is a very clean store and it's always great for picking up a six pack and some gas. Parking is kind of slim if it's a full house but most of the time you can just pull right up to the store front.“
“Loved this place! The pizza was delicious and hit the spot. Our little dog was allowed to sit inside with us which we really appreciated. The owner was very nice and we enjoyed talking to him. We’ve had pizza from a couple places in Ligonier but this one’s my personal favorite.“
