“There aren't a lot of places to eat along the Delaware River outside of super expensive places in New Hope. Lumberville General Store is one of my favorites. Generous portions, very good food, and the staff is willing to be flexible for those with dietary concerns. The building is historic and you can eat inside or outside. Love taking a walk across the Lumberville (walking) Bridge to New Jersey.”

“The atmosphere is quaint. I knocked off one-star because there was a very noisy event going on in another room. They had extremely loud rock music blasting. That made it difficult to have a conversation with your table mates. The service was good. The waitress was attentive but not intrusive However, the vegetarian offering were sparse on the menu. There was only one vegetarian main dish offered. It was acceptable, but not satisfying. It was more like an appetizer than a meal. The crème brûlée was excellent. Light and tasty with a very thin caramelized crust on top.”

“The empanadas are good. I like how they are fresh. We tried corn and samosa in vegetarian, I think samosa was a bit bland but having it with chipotle aioli makes up for it. We also tried buffalo chicked and bacon w dates.

“What an amazing surprise!! We called EVERYWHERE in Doylestown trying to get prices to cater a backyard wedding of over 70. We called Giovanni‘s on state the week of our wedding and they were not only able to accommodate, but they were the easiest to work with and the most affordable. Then to our surprise the food was phenomenal. Not a single complaint other than I should have ordered more meatballs and chicken cutlets. The BEST in town. We’ll be back!”

We had entrees ranging from fish to meat and all were delicious, The space is cozy and sparkly with, just the right amount of volume from a pianist, playing a variety of tunes. The service was prompt and professional but also warm and welcoming. Don’t miss this gem.”
