Vegan Restaurants near Mars

“Finally getting to writing reviews for the best few vendors from my August 2019 wedding. I am a little hesitant to post this since their Facebook page seems to have gone silent and reviews on other platforms indicate that management and menus may have changed in the last 6 months. But I was so pleased with my experience that it only seems fair to give credit where credit is due…. If you are looking for a rehearsal dinner location in Cranberry and have 30 guests or less, I highly recommend the private room at Ember and Vine in the lobby of the DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh-Cranberry. We researched every restaurant in the area and Ember and Vine at DoubleTree delivered a perfect solution. Their facilities are beautiful and modern, and the staff was so nice and accommodating. Although they can do traditional seated banquet-style meals, we wanted something distinctly different from our wedding dinner the following day. We chose to order off their regular restaurant menu and have them cordon off a portion of the lobby area next to the private room, where a buffet was placed with different flavors of wings, woodfired pizzas, salad, and their oh-so-yummy crispy brussels sprouts. Not only were they flexible with the setup and menu (accommodating multiple food allergies), they also provided the option to have a limited bar within the private room or have our guests use the full bar in the lobby. Having the private room but also the cordoned off lobby area gave us extra area to mingle and a great balance between private space and the fun energy and ambiance from the restaurant and bar. Our guests loved the food and had loads of fun! Other factors that made Ember and Vine a clear winner for us were: - They had a very low minimum spend. Other locations with private dining had a ridiculous minimum spend that would be difficult to meet with a 20-30 person guest list. - The large parking lot. We looked at other options closer to our venue and parking was limited. - Flexibility with timing. We gave them a general time frame for arrival, but not knowing how long the rehearsal would take, they told us just to call them when we were 20 minutes out. Thanks DoubleTree and Ember and Vine for a classy venue and excellent food that let my husband and me and our closest friends and family relax and have a great time before our big day!!“

“Large menu of coffees, teas, breakfast sandwiches, crepes, lunch sandwiches....a good variety to pick from. I had the nutella and berries crepe, which was very good & very filling. I Also had a chai latte, which was good. My friends got a turkey wrap and another got a different crepe. We all liked our choices. But the one friend asked for hot water AND was charged $3.75 for it!!!!! So fair warning, only get ice water (which is free) if wanting water. Atmosphere cute with rustic brick walls, but cold in the back dining area, never took my coat off. Serving staff very friendly.“

“We were passing through the area on a road trip from Toronto to Florida, followed by a Caribbean cruise, and stopped for one night at a nearby hotel. We decided to have dinner at Olive Garden, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience!

We were dining as a family, including one member with a gluten allergy and another who is vegetarian. The staff were incredibly accommodating — the General Manager even came out personally to discuss gluten-free preparation and ensure everything would be handled safely. That level of care really stood out.

The food was fresh, hot, and delicious, and every team member we interacted with was friendly and pleasant. It was a comfortable, stress-free meal, which was exactly what we needed after a long day of travel.

If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll definitely come back. Highly recommended for anyone — especially those with dietary restrictions!“

“We stopped by this place last week and the food was delicious. We had falafel for appetizers, chicken curry pitza ( chicken curry flavored pizza on a pita bread) , mujadara ( lentils and rice with fried onions) , spicy cauliflower wrap ,and side or their homemade garlic sauce. Everything was fresh and delicious and we loved each and every bite. Would definitely stop by again if traveling that way.

The moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by Micah, the owner, who made us feel like family. It was as if he had known us for years! Micah’s hospitality was unmatched. He generously offered us free samples of their incredible chocolate, encouraging us to try as much as we liked. It was such a thoughtful gesture that truly set the tone for our visit. As for the milkshakes, they were out of this world! I indulged in the Bananas Foster Milkshake, which was rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor. My wife couldn’t get enough of her Cookie Brownie Fudge milkshake—it was the perfect blend of decadent flavors. Our kids loved their classic Vanilla Milkshakes, which were smooth and delicious. “Scrumptious pizza, we tried the Yam I Am and the Galoshi Raptor’s Favorite and were delighted. The Sick Beets Bro made such an impression we are trying to duplicate the recipe at home. “We stopped here with my son and his fiancé to plan food for their reception and eat. It’s their favorite restaurant. The food was yummy, our server was excellent, and we got our catering squared away! They chose Olive Garden since there is a great variety for vegetarians and carnivores. Her side is all vegetarians, while ours is primarily carnivores. The pasta stations worked great for this! Plus, the lasagna is an add on vegetarian option. Plenty of salad and breadsticks and the menu was set perfectly!
The day of the wedding the food arrived on time, was set-up for us, and was hot and delicious! They were outstanding!

Vegetarian options: My daughter-in-law and her entire family are vegetarians, while my son and our side are not. Olive Garden works great for both the vegetarians and the carnivores! Everyone loved the food, had great choices, and plenty to eat!“

“Our waitress, Kim, made this breakfast delightful. So willing to help us in every way. We found the Menu so confusing. I think the food is great but the menu was a complete scramble. It really needs to be redone and thought out in an orderly fashion to make it more clear and easier to order. I told our friends we had gone there for breakfast and her husband said “you have to be a detective to read that menu”. It was all over the place. That is my only recommendation. Make the menu more easier to read.“

“The restaurant was empty when we arrived amazingly, so we were promptly greeted by the friendly staff and manager. Both my wife and I ordered the Italian Meatball sub. Absolutely delicious. I ordered the 10 inch with intentions of only eating half, but gorgeous down the entire thing in one sitting. I've been here a few times, and the staff has always been friendly and the restaurant clean. Definitely recommend going here if you're in the mood for a great sandwich.“

I was expecting flavor fireworks, but it was more like a flavor fizzle. The avocado was the highlight though! The fries were fresh and tasty, and the house-made ranch? Chef’s kiss.
