“I visited this week with some family from out of town. The raspberry cupcake sour they had on tap was a group favorite. The menu changes often but they have a few vegan options: fries, impossible burger, and tofu tacos. (Possibly also the pretzel and salad but they may only be vegetarian). I had the tacos with corn tortillas. Three tacos with cubes of fried tofu with Korean bbq topped with pickled onions and cabbage. They are good, and I will probably order them again, but not my favorite taco. I also had an order of salt&pepper fries, which were nice and crispy, well seasoned, and came in a big portion.“

“Fun seasonal menu options. I had a hard time choosing, everything sounded & looked delicious! We had Scott as our server & he was very accommodating & friendly as can be. I settled on the chicken taco style salad. LOVED it! Popping with flavor, I felt like Remy the rat in Ratatouille! All the different flavors blended together like a dream, seriously impressive. They even have delicious baked goods. Picked up some pepperoni balls & a couple other guilty pleasures on the way out. 10 out of 10, definitely will be back for more!“

“Good food to the point that I have a difficult time deciding what to get every time. So glad they are open for lunch again on weekdays! A little loud, but it's a bar, so no big surprise there. Service is usually good and portions are fairly priced. If bar food is your comfort food, Plymouth Tavern checks all the boxes.“

“Same family as valerios and the interior is almost identical. Small, casual Italian restaurant; no frills and decent pricing. Stuffed rigatoni and chicken Alfredo were good, IMO better than valerios. Seemed more flavorful and they had more homemade options such as Italian wedding soup and lasagna. The food could have been hotter/cooked longer- it actually came out really quick and was Luke warm and quickly cooled to cold. Specifically the red sauce wasn’t as hot as it should’ve been. Pls take your time especially when not busy. But at least they gave a nice portion of sauce. Most never give enough. Secondly, the side salad was very small and on a weird oblong dish with only cheese and tomato. Aside from those two things the service was excellent, with Ms. Heidi being very polite and attentive and also reminding us to BYOB next time! Dishes were about 14 a piece so $30 for two with waters. I’d say it’s fairly priced with portions and a salad or soup and bread. Sauce was sweet which I enjoyed. But as a full blooded Italian it could always use more garlic and Italian seasoning lol that goes for 99% of Italian places though. Thx for the good service. Also please get lemons as she said they didn’t have them- like, ever.“

“We wanted some seafood on our visit to Erie, and found that Hooks Catfish Kitchen was highly rated. It did not let down!! The fish was excellent, and we enjoyed the take-out Fish 'n Chips vibe too. Counter service with a couple tables available too.“

“Saturday night 12 August we had our Holy Rosary alumni get together for all who attended. Attendees from the 1950s through the 1990s. A wonderful get together for people to catch up with old friends and make new ones. I have had several parties at the colony. The folks at the colony are so wonderful to work with and the food was complimented by many in attendance. Everyone commented on the event and the colony. “Rum Runner is located right by Lake Erie, making it a perfect spot to watch the sunset while enjoying your food and drinks.
Everything we tried today was delicious. All the fried seafood was fresh and came with three sauces (my favorite is the cold sweet sauce). The burger was juicy and well-seasoned.
I really love their special cocktails—my go-tos are the Passion Colada and the Rum Runner. Both drinks are refreshing and perfect for summer.
The staff is friendly and welcoming.
Had a great time here and will definitely be back!“

“This was my second visit with family in a two week stretch. I reminds me of what I've like best about British and neighborhood pubs - a fantastic assortment of beer, delicious food and a friendly atmosphere.
And, I found a local source for NA Guinness! It really is as great as I hoped it might be.“

“First off this place is neat. Being run inside an old train station is just something you don’t see and makes it so much “warmer” inside. We had some of the craft sodas which were good, and for food we had the fried pierogis, The Pittsburger and The Train Wreck. The pierogis were good, the burger was really good, but the Train Wreck was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I’d drive 500 miles to eat this sandwich again. The fries were really good and all off us were stuffed. If I ever come through Erie again this is the first place I’m stopping.“

“we were there tues for dinner 3 tacos for 6.00 awesome price my husband got 6 not knowing how big the portions are .got a side of homemade Mac n cheese so so good I got nice size piece of baked cod and baked potato side of Mac&cheese also.it was during happy hour we got beer for cheap too wonderful food and service and got to see a good country band too .wenesday we went again and had something else and finally tried the wonderful homemade pie split a piece as it was huge too yum!! thank you“
