“I check the weekly offerings and try to plan a trip when something sounds appealing. I will say that I have enjoyed 95% of the ones I tried. You can't go wrong with the semi-sweet chocolate chip. The pineapple upside down cake was delicious. The orange creamsicle flavor was spot on. They recently had a peanut butter crisp cookie featuring Butterfinger. It tasted like the candy bar in cookie form.“

“Stopped here on a whim while visiting Pittsburgh for the weekend. We were looking to grab a coffee and pastry and found this place close to where we were headed. Let me tell you. I would come here every day!! Delicious. We had an almond croissant, hazelnut croissant and brought some bread home. Just slices the olive loaf. I cannot explain how delicious it is. “Delicious food, good cold brew and deserts. that said. 350 bakery? more like never open bakery. this part of town is a food desert, no food in walking distance. as good as this place is, I wish there were more consistently open places to get food, sometimes i find myself not wanting a good thing if its normally just a reminder of a bad thing. which 350 bakery is!! it's a bad reminder of what this neighborhood lacks for for 142 hours out of the 168 hours we are blessed to be alive with every week, this place literally spends 85% of its time closed!!! hardly an open business“

I wish we took pictures of our goodies but we ate them too fast!! Also what a friendly couple running this business! Always outgoing and willing to spend time describing their cupcakes to customers with a smile. Also come to find out they have a store front too in Pitcairn and they do much more than just cupcakes. When you see them out and about…. Definitely give them a try!“

“Prantls has historically been my FAVORITE bakery in all of Pittsburgh. But prices have really gone up in recent years (almost doubling for my favorite items), and quality standards have gone down. The last 2 times I visited the North Side location, I received a stale cookie. A stale Prantls cookie is still pretty great, but I used to pay about $2 for a fresh iced cookie, and now it’s at least $4 and stale… 2 visits in a row! I visited on July 8th and saw old Fourth of July cookies with red frosting that had faded into the white frosting. I also ordered an Almond Torte bar (a take down of their famous cake, and something I’ve ordered many times). I mentioned that I get it every year on my anniversary because it’s what we had at our wedding. Today I received a chocolate version of the almond torte. It was quite a surprise when we unboxed it at home! Not what I asked for. I’m still giving them 4 stars because I know inflation sucks, the pandemic was hard on small businesses, and even stale or incorrectly ordered Prantls is still pretty tasty. But if you visit, maybe try out the Shadyside location?“

“They have a Books and Bundts program for kids! Kids read 400 minutes a month and receive a free Bundlet! I reached out to Erin at the Monroeville-Wilkins Twp store to find out more information. Erin was wonderful! She brought out the reading trackers for all our students, and surprised us with their yummy Bundt cakes for our staff! Thank you so much for your support, and the absolutely delicious Bundt cakes! I can’t wait to get our kids started, so they can receive their yummy Bundlet!! Thank you from all of us at Trafford Elementary school!!“

“Cakes by Colby made what seemed like a difficult choice a super easy one! From moment one walking in the door, you could see the artistry in her work and where her specialties lay. The tasting was a delight, and if anything we ate waaaaay too much while were there, but it was all so incredibly good! Fast forward to the wedding day, everything went off without a hitch and the cake was absolutely gorgeous! She took reference images we provided and went above and beyond, it was elegant without being pretentious and truly lovely on top of being delicious as well. Our guests raved about it too. Can’t recommend Fran and Cakes by Colby enough!!“
