“Look for our server, David M. Friendly, great sense of humor, provided advice on food and drinks. I wanted a Porter or a stout, and he joyfully replied “Left Hand Milk Stout!” He nailed it.“

“We had some outstanding new menu items but had to start with old favorite the smoked trout rillettes, they are so bright and delicious. The Asparagus with Lobster and sauce Americaine was an eye-opener. I had never had Sauce Americaine before, and it was subtle and wonderful. We shared the roasted half chicken with spring salad which was out of this world. the peas and sugar snap peas in the salad were so fresh and delicious. the dressing and the sauce for the chicken melded together to make a wonderful flavor. Wines were tasty and the service ws great.“

“Food was amazing. Location is awful. Came out after dinner and our car was smeared with ketchup packets. Wish it was in a different area, would definitely go back. Feel the area is not safe.“

“We didn’t have food. Stopped for a drink before a Penguins game. Our bartender Lindsay was top notch. She gave us an education on mixology. We concocted an old fashioned with High West Campfire bourbon and molasses bitters that came out as the best old fashioned I ever had. Always great experience here but Lindsay made it perfect.“

“One of our top 5 restaurants in our decades of eating out! Inventive, unique, and well crafted cocktails to the Porchetta and Crab Trophie to the amazing Creme Brulee and affagato...All top notch! These chefs know what they are doing!!! Unfortunately, they aren't open on Sundays when we are normally in town otherwise we'd be here monthly!“

“Stopped here on our way through Monongehela. My husband had the cheese burger and d fries and really enjoyed it. I cannot eat gluten and very rarely find a place that can accommodate me. I had kolbassi with no bun, coleslaw, and they cooked my fries in a separate fryer. Everything was very good!“

“We had täkō last night in Pittsburgh for the first time and it was SO GOOD! They had their Spookeasy pop up Halloween bar and the set up was so cool, it was pretty packed with it being Halloween weekend but it was such a cool atmosphere! We ended up getting seats at the bar and the two bartenders were so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with deciding what drinks we wanted to try! The tacos.....the octopus is the BEST, chorizo was second best for me. Pictures aren't the greatest, but it's the best I got. Definitely a great time if you're feeling fancy 🍶 It's not cheap, but I'd say definitely worth it for the food, drinks, staff and just the atmosphere of it all.“

“We went to G’s for our anniversary and it was an absolutely delightful experience. Great quiet and cozy atmosphere, stellar service, and incredible food and drinks. Every dish was full of flavor and the textures were all beautifully done. Even the bread basket was amazing with maple butter. It felt like a 5 star dining experience for a reasonable person. Excited to go back again soon.“

“Went in on a crowded, busy night, but the bartenders were immediately responsive and friendly still. They have a wide variety of drinks, and all four that two of us tried were really memorable and unique. For sure a place to return to and try the whole menu“
“City Winery Pittsburg is a cool place. Prices were high but we weren’t surprised. We did a wine flight, a glass of ros’e and hummus with pita for $59…The hummus was good but came with four small, burnt triangles of pita bread. We ate the four pieces and still had 3/4 of hummus left. We had to ask for more bread and it took 25 minutes for it to come out! They finally brought us four more burnt pieces- luckily they didn’t charge us extra for them. The wines were okay- nothing I’d go out of my way for. The bartender was very nice but overall it was not worth the money in my opinion. I would recommend people try it out in hopes they have a better experience. Just don’t order the hummus… or at least bring your own pita!“

“The Commoner’s kitchen knows what they’re doing, and it shows in every dish. The menu is straightforward but executed with real attention to detail and bold, well-balanced flavors. The Spicy Crab Dip is rich, creamy, and just the right amount of heat, paired with perfectly crisp toast for scooping. It’s the kind of appetizer that disappears fast. The Crispy Potatoes are a must-order—deeply golden, crunchy outside, soft inside, and made even better with a velvety taleggio cheese fondue and roasted garlic butter. Simple, but perfect. The Pork is cooked exactly how you want it—juicy, well-seasoned, and served with sides that let the meat shine. It’s clear the chefs here care about the details, from technique to balance on the plate. Service is friendly and efficient, the drinks are well-crafted, and the atmosphere is lively but comfortable. No gimmicks, just seriously good food made by a team that knows what they’re doing.“

“We’re from out of town but liked it so much a couple years ago that it’s our go to place when we’re in Pittsburgh. The happy hour drinks make it very affordable and the popcorn snack is very tasty to go with the beer and cocktails. Nice chill vibe and seems to be a neighborhood spot.“

“Great service, knowledgeable, easygoing and not rushed like in so many other restaurants. Food was original, well presented and very delicious - we shared the focaccia with a spread, three small plates (duck, risotto and mussels) and each of us four also had an entree (2x pasta, 2x fish). Would certainly visit again for a special occasion. Best restaurant in Pittsburgh so far for us.“

“The pizza is absolutely delicious, it is huge, and the price is very affordable. My family frequently visits. We went yesterday to celebrate my little ones birthday (he adores pizza & Shelly pie) he is on the spectrum and when I tell you the entire staff acknowledged that is was his birthday, and even joined in singing happy birthday to him it truly touched my heart.“

“Dive bar vibe - Dark & Vintage. They're hot cheese balls were pretty good. They were not the best cheese curds that I have ever had, but they were decent. If you like your cheese curds extra cheesy, these are for you. We also got 2 burgers were which were extremely large, & cooked well done which wasn't very good. The fries were subpar and the chips were just plain generic ruffle chips -not made in house or anything. I would have loved another option to not have a side. This place was not super expensive which was cool but probably wouldn't come here again.“

“I do not recommend this place. My boyfriend and I sat at the bar last night and were never even acknowledged. We stayed for 10-15 and after no acknowledgement from the bartender or service we left. Rhonda and Chon at the hot chocolate stand were quite the opposite of our experience inside. They were both so helpful and accommodating.“

“My wife & I go to dinner with a few other couples once a month. We go down the alphabet & go to non chain restaurants. We picked Meat & Potatoes for M. This was all of our first time at the restaurant. We were seated in the side 1 table room, the service was great, it was like our own little space. My wife & I got the 2 Tomahawk steaks, bone marrow, asparagus, & shoestring fries. Everything was amazing, we all got different starters to share. We got the pig candy, all starters were great! There was not one complaint from the table, we will definitely be back. I have known the owner for a very long time, & been to his other places & been just as satisfied. GREAT JOB RICK & ALL OF YOUR STAFF!“

“I had an amazing blackened salmon salad tonight with one of the best dressings I’ve ever had, hands down! The honey lemon vinaigrette is perfection, don’t pass it up when you go! I’m pumped to come back and try more of it all. Everything looked amazing on the menu, the food I saw come out looked great, the staff and atmosphere were all on point, music and the whole vibe was perfect. Its casual wear with a nice patio, different rooms for parties, everything was super clean and it has great food and drinks! Don’t miss this spot when you’re in Mt Washington next time!!“

“We went to the newly renovated Moon Township location. The food was absolutely amazing and flavorful! Portion sizes were huge! We’ll definitely be back. We gave the service a 3/5 stars not because of our waitress (she was outstanding) but because of the rude “front desk” employee! I’ve seen multiple other complaints about what I can assume is the same person. This employee nearly ruined our experience!“

“We came to Tammy’s because we were searching for a cheap/quick breakfast. It was surprising when we showed up to a bar thinking it was going to be a cafe, but the food was great!
BELT grilled cheese and Tammy’s platter were both delicious. The service was friendly. Will definitely be back for the simple and affordable breakfast.

“A staple of The Strip District. The Beerhive is a neighborhood bar and grill that has tons of beer options, both canned and rotating taps. They have a full bar as well and feature specialty cocktails from time to time. They have burgers, wings, tacos and more, all made from scratch in-house while using tons of local ingredients. Their meatballs, burgers and wing sauces are all made on site. I tried the fried pickles which are hand breaded Pittsburgh Pickle Company pickles served with spicy ranch. Their smash burger is amazing, the burger is sourced entirely within walking distance of their front door! The bun is from Mancini’s, the meat is from Strip District Meats, the cheese is from Penn Mac, the onions are from Local Provisions, the pickles are Pittsburgh Pickle Company & the Hive sauce is made in house! It’s a local Pittsburgh business sandwich spectacular!!! Of course had to get it with their delicious fresh cut fries!“

“Ok, the wagyu truffle burger is actually as good as people say! Well seasoned, good amount of cheese, onion and lettuce is cut into a relish and mixed with sauce which makes the burger perfectly moist. I didn’t really feel truffle and the meat was almost well done even though I specified it wasn’t o be medium. Overall, a burger that’s much better than in most places so I’d definitely be back to try more things.“
