“I was in visiting for work and was looking up places to go have a beer and something to eat. I did the usual pre-judge and looked up the place that had a high rating on google and headed there. The traffic was backed up and bit and I was waiting at this light with a strip mall to the right and saw this sign called HOP YARD. I was still waiting at the light to go to my original place but I decided to be impatient and turned into to see what this place was all about. I am so glad I did because this place is a gem. Before I write my review let at least say that 1) i don't get paid for my reviews like a lot of these people who have their picture on their profile and 2) I lived in Austin Texas for 14 years so I know a little bit about BBQ Bar/Restaurants. This place was a great value. The atmosphere is tight with nice and clean decor that resembles places in Austin. Their drink selection is vast but simple (as most Bars should be). Their BBQ..... Okay, for it not being actually in Texas and located in Harrisburg is solid. Smoked well, beans were not doused with lots of sugar but had great flavor, their Slaw had a different spin on it that ive never had and it was something very good Plus, their portions were (for BBQ) very generous. The staff was very friendly and the played all genres of music from the 60s, 70s and 80s which you can't ever go wrong with. I complimented the Bartender on the experience and he thanked me and invited me to give a review which I don't really do. I was surprised at some of the reviews but like I said in the beginning, some of the people get paid to make reviews and maybe some family didn't get free food or something and complained. This place is a great place to hang out, have a beer or 2 or 3 and have a great time chilling with good food, THIS IS YOUR PLACE!!!!“

“Great venue for events! Large indoor and outdoor space for music and other activities they do. There is a list of classes they offer from sushi rolling to glass blowing. The wines were okay, there weren't a lot of beers to choose from, but there were a couple nice options of each. Would definitely come again for live music!“

“My husband and I dined here last night. it was our first experience at The Mill,and everything was spectacular. I chose the porterhouse bone-in pork chop,while he had the seasonal duck. Our server was a great guide and offered up suggestions that made our experience even more special. We sat at a booth, but they have tables and outdoor seating as well. If you are a picky eater, this just might be a place for you. They offer lots of alternatives to meat and gluten free items. We shared an appetizer of tuna nachos, entrees included fish tacos, lobster salad, and ravioli. Everyone loved their meal, but that ravioli stole the show.“

“We have been big fans of Carpe Diem and Nino for years but in the beginning of October he catered our wedding and the results were even better than we hoped for. The food was wonderful (Chicken Parmesan and Meatballs). It was very tasty and fresh, not at all dry or overcooked as often happens when food is put out for a buffet. His house dressing is amazing, and I normally do not eat any dressing on my salads.“

“Found this little gem of a cafe tucked in the rear of all the big chains on the main street. Reasonably priced and every kind of crepe you might desire prepared by the owner right before your eyes. Dishes, in ample portions, are served "family style" at the center of the table on a glass "Lazy Susan". No need to pick up and pass, just turn. and add to your plate. Front of house Service is very attentive and always at the ready. Very friendly and will explain the cuisine. We were a party of 7 and each one of us enjoyed our meal and experience. this place is a gem. Poultry, Fish, Pork, and vegan options are available. Exotic fare is also on the menu. “Bills takes me back to a time when I was a young child. It's a beautiful old restaurant. The staff are fantastic, especially the older lady who waited on us. She said she was the waitress there from the time it was opened, many years ago. Food is fantastic! We always went for the breakfast, which came quick and was always delicious! Pricing is very reasonable. The only thing that I would change is, you have to pay cash, no cards. But, I did say it took me back. Thanks Bill, great job!“

Complained to waitress who said it had to be that way so they could hear in the back for take out orders. The restaurant was far from busy for in house dining so I guess the owner doesn't care about us; only the take out customers! I have eaten here for years and tried to support them during covid but never again.“

“I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and have seen the almost all of the same staff since then. This will always be my old reliable pizza shop with that smell that hits your nose as soon as you walk in. It’s great for a quick stop or to bring home.“

Margherita Shrimp Flat bread, Mexican Street corn dip appetizer and Amish Chicken for entree. And a Makers Mark bourbon and ginger ale over ice. And visit to the table by the owner David. Worthy of a trip to Hummelstown. A few miles away from Hershey Park!“

“This place is so underrated. I don't get it, the parking lot is practically empty all the time but this place is legit the best restaurant in the area. The food is always unique, the draft beer selection is second to none in this town (have to go to Lancaster city or Harrisburg to compete with this). Music selection is good, servers are chill... I don't get why this place isn't packed. If u pass thru Etown u need to go to the Black Gryphon.“
