“We have been big fans of Carpe Diem and Nino for years but in the beginning of October he catered our wedding and the results were even better than we hoped for. The food was wonderful (Chicken Parmesan and Meatballs). It was very tasty and fresh, not at all dry or overcooked as often happens when food is put out for a buffet. His house dressing is amazing, and I normally do not eat any dressing on my salads.“

“First timer here. Sat at bat area. Server was very friendly and most of all, the item I have ordered Surf and turf was very good, The fillet was so tender and cooked perfectly. It was market price and didn’t know how much it was, but it was only $45. I would have paid more for the quality.“

“We went the other night and were not disappointed at the food or service. However the price was high and this is not critical but the ambiance was not there. The tables were so close that we could hear everyone's conversation. Also it was very hard to hear what the owner was saying when he was telling us the specials. There is no liquor available and you must bring your own BOB and for the price of the entrees, it would have been nice to be able to do this. Again I will say the food was exceptional but suggestions would be to leave more space between diners, lower the lightening, possibly use tablecloths rather than place mats. All in all, it was a nice one time restaurant but probably would not go again.“

“We had dinner this evening at the Water Shed Pub. What an enjoyable evening!!!! The appetizer we started with was the karaage chicken. I can’t explain how the flavors come together for this dynamic appetizer but, Wow! It was fantastic!!! Our entrees of the scallop po boy…..( yum!!! )…… and the seafood enchiladas……. ( oh my goodness!!! ). …were delightful!! So, so delicious!!!! Sweet potato pie and pumpkin cheesecake ice cream were an amazing ending to a superb meal!!! We’ll definitely be back soon! There’s lots more on the menu that we can’t wait to try!!!“

The staff was amazing friendly and accommodating lady so I didn’t know her name was so happy to be where she was working. She was pleasant and just happy something nice to see the food was amazing on a scale of 1 to 10 I give it a 15. I have the Hawaiian burger, everything’s prepared the way I requested the fresh cut fries salted perfectly. I will definitely return here whether I move to this area or another. “Came here for lunch with a friend and had a great time. Our server was warm and attentive throughout, checked in at the right moments and gave genuinely helpful suggestions when we were deciding what to order.

Started with the clam chowder, rich, well seasoned, good chunks of clam, perfect for a lunch starter. For mains, the halibut was cooked perfectly, flaky and moist. The shrimp was also excellent, fresh without being overcooked.

“Food: The food (for the most part, there are a couple of items on the menu I'm personally not a big fan of) is pretty good & comes in nice big serving sizes (again, for the most part).

Price: It's generally about the same price or a bit cheaper (depending on what you get) as most fast food restaurants, except this is a diner/cafe & you are getting a decent bit more food per dollar.

Building/ Parking: It's a pretty tiny building with pretty limited parking (you can always find some parking somewhere nearby), but it's clean & decently maintained.

Staff: They're cool people, nothing extraordinary, but also nothing bad I've experienced so far (I've been several times).

Overall: This place is pretty good. If you are looking for breakfast (or potentially lunch) in Middletown, (from my experience) either here or the Brownstone Cafe are your best options (If you have a big party like 6+, I'd probably go to the brownstone, but just 1-4, here is really nice & there's typically not much of any wait like the Brownstone).

Front of house Service is very attentive and always at the ready. Very friendly and will explain the cuisine. We were a party of 7 and each one of us enjoyed our meal and experience. this place is a gem. Poultry, Fish, Pork, and vegan options are available. Exotic fare is also on the menu. “We ate at Bonefish Grille prior to a concert. From our greeting at the hostess stand to the end of our meal the service was excellent. Our server Justin was knowledgeable but not overbearing. Justin made suggestions based on his likes on the menu. My wife had the crab cakes and I had the filet and lobster. We were both very pleased with the meals delivered. “Ate dinner there about a week ago. Food was good but their telephone rang at top volume the entire time we were there making it difficult to talk or enjoy our meal. Complained to waitress who said it had to be that way so they could hear in the back for take out orders. The restaurant was far from busy for in house dining so I guess the owner doesn't care about us; only the take out customers! I have eaten here for years and tried to support them during covid but never again.“

“Stopped by St. Catherine Labouré church's food truck fest today (8/17) and picked up a crab cake, an order of cheesy crab balls, fries and cole slaw. Man, everything was BANGIN'! First of all the crab is tasty, you can tell they're getting it fresh, and the portions were generous. Denise still had some crab cake leftover, and the cheesy crab balls were really nicely spicy, with a ton of crabmeat. We split fries, a HUGE order, and split the slaw, also enough for two. Fries have a seafood seasoning similar to Old Bay, and the slaw was nicely tangy, slightly creamy, just a hint of sweet. Definitely got the seasoning right, the crab is copious, and it's a super value. Denise reports: lump crab in those cakes, NO FILLER!“
