“First time there, and I believe the workers may have been there for the first time as well. If you have questions, be prepared to answer them yourself. Using cash is also an issue, but that is becoming an unfortunate standard everywhere. As far as food, excellent. I recommend the barbacoa.“

“I was amazed at how nice the people were. The food was so amazing it felt like the flavors were danceing on my tounge. There red sauce was really spicy it made my nose run. May I add the decorations in the are so cool. It was an overal 5 star place to go. I have nothing bad to say.Vegetarian options: There was a vegitarian fajita if I recal correctly on menu.Dietary restrictions: The made sure not to put any onions in my dads food even though he isn't allergic he just doesn't like them, and there was no onions found anywhere.“

“Italos is my absolute favorite restaurant hands down. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The service is outstanding even with a packed restaurant. I was there today for my birthday and while they were packed to the brim, they still managed to provide excellent service and the food was absolutely incredible. They sang me Happy Birthday and let me wear the awesome Sombrero. I can’t recommend them enough!“

“Absolutely love this restaurant!! I have been going for Taco Tuesday's the last few weeks. It's such a good deal and you can mix up your tacos so you can try multiple! I highly recommend the Birria and Chorizo Tacos!! Drinks are really good and very large! The atmosphere is lovely and the restaurant itself is authentic and beautiful, so much to look at! Our server Daniela was so sweet and wonderful!! Definitely recommend this place! Thank you, we will definitely be returning again and again!!“

“The definition of a hidden gem. Small, family owned restaurant with cheap and phenomenal food. It's a quant little place, and despite how good it is, I've never seen more than a few of the 10 tables filled. The service is also incredibly fast and polite- I'm always surprised how quickly my food comes out. Never been disappointed by this place, and it's a must-try for anyone that likes Mexican food.“

It feels like you left the cold PA weather for a brighter happier place. I am slowly working my way through the menu. “Excellent ambiance, warm greetings and great service (the young busboy has a great future ahead of him) from staff, wide ranging menu, fabulous food cooked and delivered promptly to our table. Chicken Mole Poblano for me and Carne Asada for my wife. Both perfectly cooked, hot temperature wise, seasoned to perfection with ample portions for the both of us. I hadn't had my dish in many years and was blown away with the marvelous intensity of it all, as was my wife with her dish. We were passing through town on our way to somewhere else and my wife happened to discover Hacienda Volcan while we were trying to decide upon what to eat for the evening. What a great and fortuitous discovery and the only downside to Hacienda Volcan is that it's so far away from our home in Connecticut. There's simply nothing to compare to this establishment in our home area. Thanks for a great evening and meal.“

“We were a group of 5 meeting in the middle between two distant places for late br/lunch. It's a big place with many servers. Easy access, good convenient parking. Fun decor. Large menu. We liked the chips and salsa. Two of us ordered and liked the Huevos Rancheros...good if you like eggs, beans and rice with corn tortillas...nice for no meat meal and breakfast. Didn't get feedback on meals from others so theirs was probably OK. As a couple other groups arrived It got NOISY a lot among the few large tables near the (smallish looking but nice bar, we didn't try the drinks, iced tea was OK) ...as groups grew it got louder (hard acoustics) so we had to almost yell to talk over the NOISY chatter and cart being wheeled around by servers (I think for guacamole...which we didn't try). If you can sit in the large outdoor area or a booth it might be better...your choice. I'd try the place again since we like Mex and think it could be good with some adjustment of our awareness of the place. Worth a try it you like the above.“

“Stopped by this small restaurant in Scranton for a snack. The lady made me some chicken empanadas and they were delicious. They have lots of other items on the menu. I haven't tried the rest of the food on the menu but enjoyed the empanadas. Service was excellent. You can watch some soccer while you eat your food.“

“I recently stumbled upon a hidden gem in Wilkes Barre that has forever changed my perception of Latin cuisine - a little cart that serves up the most mouthwatering arepas (not on the menu - $8 and it takes 8 minutes to make) and a wide array of Mexican delights. From the moment I took my first bite, I knew it was authentic. 99% of the customers are Hispanic, and you can also bring your beer and sip it while enjoying the food. They take credit card payments, and you can pay via apple pay, etc. This truck might not catch your eye at first glance, but believe me, it's a culinary treasure waiting to be discovered. These golden, crispy corn arepa pockets are filled with a variety of delectable ingredients that will make your taste buds dance with joy. Order only one because it's filing. The hot sauces that accompany the arepas are okay. Perhaps skip them. We had chicken arepas. They recently raised the price from $6 to $8 per arepa, and my Latin friends were not happy with the price increase but it does take 8 minutes to make them. Their menu features an extensive selection of tacos, burritos, and quesadillas (enough for two meals at $13 per quesadilla), all made with the freshest ingredients. Whether you opt for the succulent carne asada, the zesty al pastor, or the flavorful vegetarian options, you'll be treated to an explosion of flavors that will transport you straight to the streets of Mexico. While we were eating, several Mexican construction workers came for their dinner, as well as some white-non Hispanic patrons who came because the aroma of the food was amazing. Don't expect it to be a 5-star restaurant. As for the ambiance, it's a "hole in the wall." It's a place where the focus is entirely on the food, and that's exactly how it should be. If you're a fan of Latin and Mexican cuisine and find yourself in Wilkes Barre, you simply must try this place. And for those of you who don't speak Spanish, they speak fluent English.“

The service is good, and I happily return for burritos ?. The atmosphere is okay—it’s a chain from New Jersey and has a boardwalk theme. “I love this Moe's. Most of the ones I been to kind of sucks. They actually closed the one by me up in NY. Anyways I love this one. Was greeted by an employee who was very optimistic and happy. The other employees were awesome as well. The food was great, got a burrito with extra beef and queso. As well as chips and queso. They give you a lot of chips UNLIKE the other Moe's I've been to.
