“First timie going here! I love that prices are so great compared to others! Being a mom of 8 kids I know good deals when I see one and this is GREAT and affordable meal prices for kids menu. Plus the salad,nacho,soup,dessert bar are fabulous!! The kids will definitely get full here, so worth the cheap affordable prices!! Adult meal plates look good and appealing I got a steak. Only thing though, this was the whole reason we went there was because I wanted steak. And my husband wanted somewhere new so we gave this a go! Was a great choice to visit“

“Everyone was so very FRIENDLY! They knew it was our first time there and made us feel extra special. Our waitress was wonderful. I wanted last weekends special because I missed out on it and my waitress went out of her way to ask the chef if he had the ingredients to make it and did. It was so delicious. “I absolutely love seafood boil, and this place was so delicious. We got the ramen with crab legs and a boil with 1lb crab and 1/2lb headless shrimp. I split this with my sister and there was still so much left! The server was so nice as well. I live 2 hrs from here and would easily make the drive for this.“

“My husband and I have been going to the Village Inn for many years now. Everything we have eaten there has been so delicious from sandwiches to great Italian Food . My favorite is the stuffed crabmeat mushroom appetizer, bruschetta and Chicken Romano. The meatballs and pasta are so good. My favorite dessert is the Tiramisu. I highly recommend the Verona Village Inn.“

“My family stopped by on Saturday afternoon ordered a Pgh pizza and loaded fries. The Pizza was out of this world. The fries were fresh cut and delicious. Our server was Jodie and she was so friendly and efficient we never had to ask a refill on drinks. Most pleasant trip there ever.“

The seasoning is the best part, I always ask for extra in addition to buying a side of it so I can cover everything in it 🤣 I’ve tried quite a few of their seafood options- shrimp, cod, perch, catfish filet & nuggets- and have never been disappointed by any of them. The pick 2 combo with shrimp and catfish nuggets is my go-to though, best catfish I’ve ever had. “I arrived not long after they opened and I received the BEST meal I have ever had at a LJS. I've been a loyal customer for decades and since it is harder to find locations I go out of my way when I travel to get my fix.
The employee who packed my order was super kind and as I said the food was delicious.
My only issue is the condition of the store. And honestly this complaint goes for a number of locations left in the area. The store is in BAD shape. I've worked in food service for over 35 years and if the dining room that patrons see is in such a state of disarray then I can't even imagine what the kitchen and BOH areas look like. It would take a full day of deep cleaning, scrubbing and detailing to get the dining room to a somewhat acceptable level. The Butler location is bad too but not nearly as bad as this location but I will say the food at Butler left much to be desired the last time I was there.
I'm not in the Pittsburgh area much these days but if I do return I'll stick with the drive thru right at open in the hopes that I'm not reminded of the condition of the restaurant.“
