“The food was spectacular, the beef stir fry they have (which I was skeptical of when my family ordered, sounded good but sorta basic) was my favorite dish of this year and last year, it was sooooo good!!! It was incredibly flavorful and so tender.To top that off the owner was walking around the room, charming folks and checking in, all the service felt attentive but not invasive or overbearing, I felt incredibly respected and appreciated while there. I told them it was my parent’s wedding anniversary and they complimented them on it multiple times, all of the staff suddenly knew and they got a free appetizer to congratulate them. It really was a special experience from start to finish. I don’t go to a lot of fine dining but I expected the portions to be tiny and the atmosphere to be haughty, it was not! It would have been better if they use rice noodle or glass noodle instead of vermicelli noodle.The ambience is plain, but it looks new and clean. “Was a fan of the old La Na before it went downhill a little before pandemic lockdown. This is in same location but new management and it seems like they are back to providing really good, fresh Thai food! All the vegetables were vibrant and crisp. The sauces were light and fragrant. The establishment seemed to be cleaned up. They could use a dining room refresh but it does give you the feeling of an authentic Thai restaurant, a lot of deep reds, dark browns and black. “An unassuming thai restoraunt in the middle of nowhere (at least to me as a visitor of the city). It was a small cozy resto with decent service and some lowkey décor. Gold coloured cups was a plus. Chicken skewers - White meat was dry, but the peanut sauce was really good. Pad see ew - pad see ew was tasty. The stirfried dish was seasoned well with lots of different flavour. It was only missing a bit of char, otherwise really good. Would recommend. Some decent food, but as a tourist to the city, I would not be coming back. There are other restos for me to try. But as a local, I can see myself coming back to grab casual meals.“
“I've been a customer of Trio BYOB for almost a decade. And I can honestly say they're the best Thai restaurant in the city. Everything is always tasty and fresh. I like the fact that they have their own ordering website which works very well so you don't have to deal with tech disruptors and they also do their own delivery. The delivery guy is friendly, courteous and kind.But getting back to the food, they also offer creative specials which you can also order via delivery, as well as dining in. That includes desserts. “I am so happy this place opened on 2nd street!! Everything my man and I ordered had such tasty and unique flavor. We ordered the drunken noodles (which I was so excited about and met my expectations), tofu fried rice, crab rangoon, and a few sushi rolls. My man usually says his food is fine, however, he said this place is BANGIN which amazed me. Atmosphere is gorgeous. Service is so sweet and kind although I do think our waitress could have been a bit more attentive to details like water refills, empty plates, etc…I didn’t even mind though because she was so sweet and amazing in every other way. We ordered the Fried Tofu (super crispy and firm but not dried or greasy), shumai (pretty good but a bit dense and could not really make out the shrimp or crab), fantastic Tom ka (order it spicy!), pad Thai, drunken noodles, and sweet and sour chicken for the kids! The noodles were good and spicy and the kiddos loved the sweet and sour. It was such good chicken, the adults even enjoyed. But the cherry on top was the absolutely kind and sweet phone and in person service - which is becoming a diamond in the rough. Super impressed from the first hello to the last bite!“
