“The afternoon tea was an amazing experience. Everything was prepared fresh and ready to go. The tea selections were definitely plenty. The egg sandwich was my favorite of the sandwiches. Wonderful presentation for the set up. Great staff as well.“

“Food: The food (for the most part, there are a couple of items on the menu I'm personally not a big fan of) is pretty good & comes in nice big serving sizes (again, for the most part).

Price: It's generally about the same price or a bit cheaper (depending on what you get) as most fast food restaurants, except this is a diner/cafe & you are getting a decent bit more food per dollar.

Building/ Parking: It's a pretty tiny building with pretty limited parking (you can always find some parking somewhere nearby), but it's clean & decently maintained.

Staff: They're cool people, nothing extraordinary, but also nothing bad I've experienced so far (I've been several times).

Overall: This place is pretty good. If you are looking for breakfast (or potentially lunch) in Middletown, (from my experience) either here or the Brownstone Cafe are your best options (If you have a big party like 6+, I'd probably go to the brownstone, but just 1-4, here is really nice & there's typically not much of any wait like the Brownstone).

“I recently stopped by Wake & Bake Cafe and had such a good experience. I ordered the cinnamon spiced latte and a chocolate chip cookie, and both were done really well. The latte had the perfect balance just the right amount of cinnamon, enough sweetness without being overpowering, and the foam on top was especially smooth and well-crafted. You can tell care went into it. The chocolate chip cookie was soft and warm, especially in the center, with that slight saltiness that really brings out the flavor. It’s one of those simple items that’s easy to overlook, but this one stood out. The atmosphere is a big part of what makes this place memorable. It has a creative, artsy feel with subtle 90s nostalgia things like vintage cameras and decor that give it personality without feeling overdone. One thing I appreciated right away was the bathroom location it’s right at the front when you walk in, which is super convenient. Location-wise, it’s right across from the State Capitol, making it easy to find. There’s street parking, but it was still convenient and didn’t take away from the experience. Overall, it’s a spot I’d recommend if you’re looking for a cozy place with strong drinks, good treats, and a unique vibe.“

“Amazing food and service. We had Healthy You Cafe cater my sisters 60th birthday and everyone loved the food. To keep things light and simple, we went with appetizers (including sliders and lettuce wraps), a couple of salads, and a couple of desserts. I ended up ordering 12 different appetizers (240 pieces), 2 different salads, and 2 different desserts (40 pieces) for 12 people, and aside from a few sliders and some salad, everything was eaten, and nothing was complained about. 12 people, and no complaints about food. That has to be saying something. The service was impeccable. From working with me on my order, to going above and beyond the delivery and setup, everyone involved was an absolute pleasure to work with. Our outdoor venue was up a small hill and about 50 yards from the parking area, but the ladies that came to deliver the food were extremely pleasant, patient, and accommodating and set up everything for us. They even left us a couple of chaffing dishes and a couple of coolers to help us keep the food nice and fresh for the duration of the 90-degree Summer day. “I had a nice time in Queenies, but unfortunately I can't frequent there bcuz I am a heart patient and there was a couple chain smoking I couldn't breath I had triple bypass heart surgery in November 2023 bcuz I was Harrisburg's highest paid barmaid back in the day when fab's Earnestine porters bars were open I bartended for 13 1/2 years and the second hand cigarette smoke is what gave me my triple bypass heart surgery, and since I had my surgery and I NEVER SMOKED CIGARETTES! ( I only smoked weed) But after my surgery I vowed to never smoke or be around second hand smoke ever again I'm goin to be gud to my heart, so even tho I had fun while there I can't go back, due to the cigarette smoke...sry queenies 🤗 I take my life seriously“

The staff and our waitress were super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. The appetizers were a highlight, really delicious, and the pizza was solid too, though not quite as memorable as the starters. Overall a great spot for a relaxed dinner.“
