“We were passing through New Stanton, and had dinner at La Tavola. We sat at the bar, and had incredible service from Sandy, the bartender. The food was incredible. We had the artichoke appetizer, a Caesar salad, and the Veal Picatta and the special, which was a Swordfish with lump crabmeat. Also, the Crème Brûlée. All was incredible, and Chef Lou came out and chatted with us. A very special gem of a restaurant, which we would highly recommend!!“

I wanted last weekends special because I missed out on it and my waitress went out of her way to ask the chef if he had the ingredients to make it and did. It was so delicious. My fiancé got the fish sandwich and really enjoyed it. The portions are really good. The place is decorated so nicely. Thanks for making our dinner extra special! You all were so friendly.“

“We had a wonderful experience at the Venue. The food was delicious and unpretentious, unlike many "upscale" places. Our server, Aimee, was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful with making selections. We were celebrating my birthday and had a cozy table for two in a curtained nook. Very romantic!“

“Portions are nice and quite big. Ordered the Sesame chicken and orange chicken 🤤for 5 of us and we had enough for leftovers the next day! Plus they’re always super nice and the food is ALWAYS delicious. The Singapore Mei Fun is also really good!“

“We come out to eat here more than any of our local restaurants. Twice this week we have been there. My husband ordered the pot roast omelette, both times he had asked for no green peppers and was told no problem but yet still had them all through it. When we told our waitress it just seemed not to be a big deal of hers. This evening alone my silverware was greasy, we ended up having to ask the shift supervisor for a drink refill and she ended up getting our box and check for us, my son's plate had something hard cooked in the scrambled eggs as well. This evening we came in a little after 7. There were still a few tables and someone came in after us. Towards the end it seemed like everyone sat in the back and didn't care about anything. I understand it's almost closing time but still. I was so annoyed with our visit this time. There's no consistency in service sometimes.“

“This was the first LJS that I've seen since relocating to PA and as soon as I saw it, I had to have some. I got the 2 fish 1 chicken 3 shrimp platter with fries and coleslaw. I had about a 15 min drive home, and was impressed on how hot it still was. The waffle fries were a nice surprise and I still think that LJS coleslaw is the best I've ever had!“

“It's been a while and the menu has changed a little. Dinner prices are up but they are everywhere. Pur server was green but at least he was working and trying. He's gaining work experience. That's what matters.
