“Always decently clean for a fast food joint with constant table turnaround. However we do use the window to order many times. Whoever the one gal is she super polite and very personable. Tries hard to make your experience pleasant and efficient. The star/ moon tattoo? Is cute. The Food. Fast food is fast food but this outlet at least tries to make it look like it should when it hits the customer.“

“Went to lunch here with my mom during an extremely busy lunch time on weekend and it was still such a great experience. The staff were all so pleasant even though they were running around like crazy. They took a bit to get my tea and I didnt even mind but yet they gave us free cookies at the end of our meal just as an apology, which they didn't even need to do, I understood fully they were just busy. “Plains Burger King is by the best burger king in Wilkes-Barre. From breakfast to lunch the service and the food are very good. The breakfast staff are so friendly and very nice , the breakfast manager is always smiling, making you feel good when you walk in the morning and order your breakfast and she is always so pleasant. Also, their French fries are the best they have a lot of taste, and the salt is just right.“

She checks on all her tables to see if they need anything multiple times while eating at the restaurant. Before I need anything, she is gets my request before I ask what I need. Kim, the manager is very polite and checks to see if the customer enjoyed their time while dinning at the restaurant. Kim makes sure to ask how the food came out to the customers in the restaurant.“

“Nina, our server, was wonderful. She was very attentive of our 4 young children and their needs. We arrived before the dinner rush and were seated quickly.
Atmosphere is average for a step up fast food type place . It was good practice for our youngest children at a more sit down style restaurant.
My husband had a chicken wrap that he enjoyed very much. I had a chicken sandwich with BBQ, crispy fried onions, cheese and veggies on it - basically the same wrap but in sandwich form. It was good. My children enjoyed chicken fingers and fries, a burger that was absolutely devoured - my youngest was keen on their broccoli. Broccoli was kind of rubbery and chewy for my taste. Yellow homestyle Mac n cheese was not their fav. (In RR's defense- the kids are used to a homemade white cooper cheese Mac at home- it was fine- extremely soft noodles- would I order it? No. Lol)
Overall, for a family of 6, with 3 free kids meal coupons it came to around $53 before tip. Will be back when we recieve another round of kids eat free coupons.“

“Previously had a bad experience with a takeout order. The restaurant reached out and gave us a coupon to use for our next experience. We sat down in the restaurant today and it completely made up for last time. Anissa was so wonderfully kind and exceptional- she kept track of our dinner so we did not run over our limit, was happy to chat, and made sure our drinks were always full (and an extra lemon was happily given.)
The manager Jason P. made it a point to check in not once but twice to make sure our food and service was up to OUR standards.
This exceptional service is why we keep coming back- everyone is entitled to a bad day, but Jason P. and Anissa made sure we did not leave without full bellies and a smile. Can't wait to see you again!“

But this pizza is like the best thing that ever happened to me & it was only like 35 bucks. “Tyler G n Chris these were two different locations. One was on Blakely Street and the other one was up on route six. I was in a desperate need for some nuggets. My Son prefers your nuggets however, McDonald’s and Wendy’s were closer and for time sake I was just gonna hit them up neither one of those restaurants even though I pulled in would help me until 1030. I called Burger King and he said sure we’ll throw them in. It only takes a few minutes Even though they weren’t starting lunch yet I realized I called the wrong one and so I then went to the drive-through on the one that I meant to go to, which is in Dunmore here and I was greeted by Tyler, who also said yes no problem. I’ll throw them right in. That was huge to me because it’s a matter of if My Son gets to eat or not he’s a picky eater and he has not had breakfast and has wrestling practice right after school today and I wanted to make sure it’s some type of nutrients in his body. I just really hope that they get some recognition in both of them for going over and beyond to help a customer out today, they didn’t have to do that. God bless.“

I stopped by this Burger King while driving north toward New York, and I have to say—it was exactly what I needed at that point in the trip. If you’re looking for a place to grab a quick bite, stretch your legs, and use a clean restroom without going too far off the highway, this is a solid choice. It’s located right off the main roads, near I-81 and I-476, which makes it super convenient when you’re on the move. You don’t have to go deep into town or waste time navigating small streets—just a quick exit and you’re there.

When I pulled into the parking lot, there were a few cars but it wasn’t overly packed. Parking was easy to find, and the area felt safe and open. The exterior of the restaurant looked well-kept—not brand new, but definitely cared for. Walking in, I was happy to see the dining area was clean and organized. Tables were wiped down, floors were tidy, and it didn’t have that typical greasy fast food smell some places can have.

I was greeted at the counter within a minute. The staff weren’t super chatty, but they were polite, efficient, and got the order right. That alone is worth mentioning—I’ve had enough road trip meals go wrong to appreciate when everything is smooth. I ordered a Whopper combo and a 10-piece nugget on the side to share with my travel buddy. Everything came out hot and fresh. The burger was well put together—not sloppy—and had that classic flame-grilled BK taste. The fries were crispy, not soggy, and had just the right amount of salt. The nuggets were good too, with the familiar crunch and flavor you expect from Burger King.

The drink station was fully stocked with ice, napkins, lids, and straws available, which isn’t always the case in fast food spots these days. I sat down to eat inside and took a few minutes to relax. The seating area was surprisingly calm, with soft music playing in the background and a few other travelers eating quietly. The air conditioning was working well, which was great on a hot summer day.

One of the most important parts for me on a road trip is the restroom—and thankfully, this one was clean, stocked, and had running hot water. Big win. You’d be surprised how rare that is during long drives.

I also noticed that they had a drive-thru option, and while I didn’t use it, the line seemed to move quickly. That’s a nice option if you’re short on time or just want to eat in your car.

Prices were as expected—affordable and no surprises. They had a few deals posted on the app and inside the store as well, so it’s worth checking that out if you’re trying to save a couple of bucks. Nothing felt overpriced, and the portion sizes were generous enough to leave me full for the next leg of the trip.

Overall, this Burger King really delivers on what it’s meant to be: a clean, convenient, fast, and familiar place to eat on the road. It’s not fancy or trendy, but that’s not what you’re looking for when you’re just trying to make it through a long highway drive. What it does offer is comfort, consistency, and a short break from the car that actually feels like a breather—not a hassle.

Would I go out of my way to eat here? Probably not. But would I stop here again next time I’m passing through? Absolutely. And I’d recommend it to anyone driving through the area who just needs a reliable, no-drama stop for a quick meal, a clean restroom, and a bit of peace before heading back out on the road.“
