“Better make reservations. If you want to get a good seat for the races, you'll need to call ahead. Most people dont leave until after the races are over once they get there. Additionally the food seems overpriced. The only fun pro tip I can share is that the bar area is where the jockeys, owners, and trainers hang out during the races. You can get some insider tips if you bump into the right person“

“It’s a dive bar. But it’s got charm, when it’s not packed it’s kind of a nice at home style place. It’s usually not filled with tourist which makes it a nice spot to get away from crazy Hershey tourist. But it’s a dive, so don’t expect too much. But if this is your vibe, it’s the best in town.“

The food is always unique, the draft beer selection is second to none in this town (have to go to Lancaster city or Harrisburg to compete with this). Music selection is good, servers are chill... “Good food, good drink and good company. Everytime I try and visit another veteran organization I get brushed out because its not convenient to do a membership at the time, need to know the door code or whatever. The American Legion has always been welcoming, this one like many others.“

Cover all the bases. Outdoors there is a flag garden, Eagle Scout project, Air Force rocket display and a tank. Membership is required for entry.“

“This was my first time here. Having a recent wheat allergy diagnosis, the food I’ve come across at other places are limited and mediocre. Piazza Sorrento (the restaurant side) has the biggest gluten free menu I’ve ever seen! The gluten free bread, bruschetta, pizza and strawberry shortcake was amazing! I will definitely make the 90 minute drive back to enjoy it again. The staff was knowledgeable about food allergies and everyone was very pleasant. I highly recommend this place. My daughter is able to eat non GF food and she said her food was just as fantastic!“

Our waitress Wendy was very thoughtful and proactive in helping my wife navigate the menu with her food allergies. The burger meat is a combination of brisket, chuck, and sirloin. I am a very picky burger eater and even grow my own grass fed grass finished meat so when I say their burger is amazing, their burger is AMAZING. 11/10, cannot recommend enough. We will be back!!“

She treated us like her own sons and truly cared about our experience. “we dropping in and tried 2 dinner entrees, chicken parm and meat lasagna. They each came with nice salads - not just lots of lettuce, and garlic bread. Portions were big - spaghetti amount was excessive - enough for 2-3 people. Chicken parm was cutlet, not chicken finger like some restaurants. We were very pleased with our meals. Normally, we got pizzas.“
