“At first glance, the Palm looks like what could best be described as your typical country dive bar - which it sort of is, but with some pleasant enhancements. The decor in the bar area is unique, there is a quote regarding the love of music overhead as you walk through to the traditional seating. I can't explain the allure of the place exactly, only that it's got that "slowed down" vibe that seems to be lost in a world of 2025 chain bars/gastropubs. Admittedly, I have always been a sucker for places like this - but the Palm did not disappoint. We were a party of 5, my wife, myself, our three kids (12, 7, 3) and while we were the only family with young kids in there at the time (and my 3-year-old was absolutely post-nap second energy wind) nobody seemed to mind. They have a chalkboard with daily soup specials that looked like someone took the time to make fancy. The food was typical of a bar, I wouldn't say it was out of this world (I had the diablo burger) but it was above-average for a bar setting. My daughter had the kids burger which was sort of lack-lustre, my wife had a roast beef sandwich (complete with sides of horseradish and Au Jus) which was not only massive, but "really really good" and let me tell you she's the food critic between us. I liked that the floors are sort of worn, it aided in the atmosphere feeling like your local family pub. Service was great, and that's considering that the bartender was alone, with 6-8 people at the bar, and probably another 12-15 people seated at the table. She was a rock star and absolutely the reason we will be back. I liked this place, a lot - give it a try!“

“UPDATE: Went back Thursday, May 10th and tried the meatballs. They were good, but the wings and Prime Rib Sliders are still the favorites for me. Went out to eat Sunday evening, at Capo and Co, in Emmaus. I can't say enough about the food and service. My favorites are the wings. I will never go anywhere else for wings again! I got plain to dip in their horseradish sauce, and my boyfriend got sweet chili. They were amazing! The prime rib sliders melt like butter in your mouth. The toppers in the Bloody Mary included a fat slice of provolone, sweet Gherkins pickle, bacon, olives and more. The atmosphere was cozy and yet so roomy. The place was immaculately clean and the presentation of the food was first class. A must try for everyone!“

“It was our first time trying the Sumneytown Hotel. Hands down amazing! The ambience was relaxing, and the building is beautiful. The food and service were phenomenal! The flavors of the food just went together so well and the presentation was beautiful! Also, the clams were cleaned thoroughly, not grainy at all! Great wine options too. Our server, Jamie, was very nice and extremely attentive. Her service was top notch. She gave very good recommendations on the food and was very knowledgeable. I highly recommend coming here for flavorful food, a relaxing night, incredible service and good drinks! We will be back! “I am a little late with my review but we had my daughter's bridal shower at Rising Sun and I couldn't be more pleased! Teresa and her staff were amazing! The decore and food were the best. My guests raved and continue to tell me how wonderful they thought it was. We were so happy with everything we asked Teresa to cater the wedding. That was just as fabulous. “Cannot recommend Java enough, if you’ve thought about going here and haven’t , you should :)! Great atmosphere, friendly workers, and excellent food. I generally stop by with my son so I can pick up some coffee which is always on point. Today I ordered their grilled cheese and tomato soup, and their bbq flat bread to go . Definitely recommend! Tomato soup is nice and creamy , came super hot, which I love! Grilled cheese was a for my son , didnt last too long before he devoured it, it was super cheesy which was his favorite part. The flat bread had a nice serving of the bbq pulled pork on top, my daughter is currently enjoying some pieces of the pork. The pork is very tender and has great flavor to it :) bbq sauce isn’t overwhelming and compliments the pork nicely, as does the marinated red onions. Thanks as always for providing fantastic service, and delicious food!!“
