“Only been there twice, but was enthralled each time. These guys get it. The service is friendly and impeccable, the food is prepared meticulously, the dishes are creative and high quality. Love the mood of the place; the ambience is perfect. Highly recommend their jazz brunch.“

“Treated ourselves to this place we saw on diners driveins and dives after shoveling a whole bunch of snow. The atmosphere is great, packed especially for a winter storm day. There were only three servers and one of them had to bartend as well, but food and drink came super fast. They are doing the best they can!

Got their brunch special with duck (which is absolutely delicious), a veggie burger, French onion soup (urgently needed in this weather), 1 cocktail and 2 desserts. Total came up to $77 before tax and tips. Great deal. Totally worth walking half an hour in 20 inches of snow for.“

“Me and my wife stopped by for the famous wings with house made sauce, It was super packed, only reason for giving a four star for service was because you had to go to the bar to get a menu and ask for service.

But with understanding they were very packed. The wings were very good and I would make a trip back for sure.“

“I am a regular at Spin Philadelphia. I usually go and have a very good time. I enjoy the food, drinks, and the atmosphere. I recently had a situation where someone asked security to deal with me. I was upset and started acting up because I was being wrongfully accused. Even though my night was going bad, I felt better because of the way I was treated by some staff. The security guy with the bandana and the front desk ping pong player were very nice to me. They heard me out, showed me respect, and were very understanding of the situation. They assured me that I was welcomed back anytime. I really appreciated that. Thank you.“

Sometimes when I’m supposed to be working from home on Monday afternoons I come here with my laptop and my mouse jiggler I bought on Amazon so my boss thinks I’m working but I’m actually just chatting it up with the bartender and eating 1/2 priced burgers.“

“One of the chillest spots in the neighborhood with AMAZING cocktails, food, and vibes. The service is also incredible. Taco Tuesdays A++. Must tries include the fries (these are the BEST fries in Philly), short rib grilled cheese, everything on the brunch menu, and the smoked manhattan. Beer selection is also always on point with lots of local brews. 10/10“

Bartenders need to learn how to work the remote for the music , It is Bose system that you can adjust for each end of the bar and the right channel is off along with the bass . lol I always listen to music when I am there .“

“This was our first time at the mermaid inn. When they first seated us, they put us all the way in the back near the kitchen which I was not happy about but I asked the hostess if there was a different table that we could move to and she was able to switch us to a much better location. The waiter was fantastic. He was so personable and had great suggestions. I had the fish tacos which were good and felt like a lot of food. My husband had the clam chowder and lobster roll (Connecticut style /hot with butter instead of with mayo and cold). We didn't have room for dessert. The drinks were sweet but good.“

“My son and I made a point to visit this Bar and Grill when holidaying through the USA just short of 12 months ago and are still talking about how great that night was. we have the same name but are not related and never been there previously but the welcoming and service from all concerned was outstanding.“

“This place used to be my favorite but it’s gone down since I first started coming at least ten years ago. It took us almost 20 mins to get cashed out and even longer to get a drink from the bar. They didn’t have wings the last time I went and the back bar was closed. They need a Philly School District Calendar to add extra staff when there will be an early dismissal“
