The ambiance at Butter's was relaxing, welcoming and nostalgic, wonderful! The service was accomodating, nice and courteous. The food was just ok. We had the turkey wings, mac/cheese, collard greens and chicken wings. The rich flavors one anticipates in soul food was missing. Many of the items on the menu weren't available. However, it was explained that they'd been closed for 3-days.
the portions of the sides are very very small ur better off buying an extra side of what u want just to get a good portion and for the wait i had the portions dont add up i wouldnt go

Quick last minute google search for soul food in Philly and it lead me to go with Butters . I ordered a basic platter fried chicken Mac and sweet potatoes .This spot was ultimately the closest drive for me , I enjoyed the fried chicken it was crunchy and juicy but when I bit in it wasn’t giving to much flavor was definitely giving hot and fresh.The Macc’N cheese was bland needed some salt just a little bit not to much lol !
