We were traveling through the area and saw online that this was where the locals go for breakfast so decided to give it a go. Food was delicious! The home fries were actual chunks of potatoes which is the way I like them. They also had one of my nostalgic childhood meals on the menu... fried cornmeal mush!! Yummm. I would highly recommend this place for a good home style breakfast if you are in this area.
We were in the area and Googled for a restaurant. The Doghouse Diner showed up and we decided to try it. We went in for breakfast. I had corned beef Hash and Poached eggs with homefries. To my delight it was great! This is a Diner setting, and everyone is very friendly, The staff acts like they have known you forever. The food was very good. I ranked them a 5 it was the best pancake and crispy bacon I have had in a long time. My husband rated it a 3 because his scrambled eggs were not as scrambled as much as he likes making the texture strange. We both loved the hash browns. Service was fantastic, Ciara G was our server.
