“I’ve been eating Latin food all my life. Passed this restaurant so many times that I had no order choice but to stop in this time because I was hungry. I’ll tell you what, if you are into eating great food, meeting awesome people and spending hard earned money…do all of those things right here! The food here is cooked with Love!❤️.“

“I visited El Patio Cafe Restaurant for the first time. I ordered the chocolate milkshakes with whipped cream and cherries for me and my daughter. It was so light and airy, affordably priced for the container size. The environment is warm and inviting with a small seating area to accommodate ten people, in case you are waiting on your order to be completed. Speaking of orders, the menu displays a variety of multicultural foods and they are affordable for the budget-conscious eater. Overall, I highly recommend El Patio Cafe Restaurant as my go-to neighborhood eatery for good eats and sweet treats. If you are reading this review and you are not local to the South Philadelphia area, I suggest you check them out with a friend.“

“Some of the best Dominican food you're gonna find anywhere outside the island.Spectacular food made fresh every day and a wide variety of dishes and drinks. They used to be cash only, but have an ATM inside and now accept card payments.Definitely my favorite place in the city. Try the mofongo with roast pork. It's extra garlicky and packed with flavor. The rice and beans are always perfect, and so is their pernil (pork shoulder). The appetizers are also worth checking out.Small place, and it gets crowded quick. Totally a place to visit if you're in the city or curious about Dominican food.
Vegetarian options: Not many options, but the few that are available are great.
Parking: Really depends on time of day.“

“My family and I stopped in one day as we were in the neighborhood. It appeared as if they were about to close but still let us come in to order. They also let us in with our pup. Exceptional customer service from start to finish. The food was great and I have been ordering from them ever since. My favorites are the pollo guisado y arroz con gandules and salad. The grilled tilapia platter is also good and well seasoned. The passion fruit drink although pricey, is the best I’ve ever had hands down. You must try them out!“

“Small, family-run place near the Underground Arts music club serving up nice portions of superbly prepared Dominican food. My friend and I ordered a multitude of different things and they were all delicious. Friendly service and lots of authentic food, a great combo. I definitely will be coming back here in the future.“

“My favorite Authentic Dominican Food Resturant in the City! It’s like visiting your aunts house during the holidays. Most of the patrons are regulars so we bump into each other often. The food is authentic, flavorful, and great portions. The staff (front and back) are attentive and welcoming. The atmosphere is clean and cultural. The only BUMMER is that they close earlier since the pandemic, so get there before 4 pm for an awesome time!“

“This place is Awesome! Like coming in to your Mother's kitchen and she asks you what you want to eat! It's a good healthy meal at a very reasonable price! There's always a line...But it moves really fast! Before you know it you are sitting in the back of an Uber...the aromas of the food are filling the inside of the car...when you get home the food is still hot....and delicious ?(I cannot guarantee the exact same experience....but you won't be disappointed!)“

“If you're looking for a local business with affordable pricing, friendly Spanish speaking staff, delicious and satisfying meals, all in a nice setting then this is your spot!
The staff was really welcoming and friendly, taking the time to explain the menu options and pricing.
I ordered the stewed chicken ("Pollo al Orno" or "a la Olla") with white rice, yucca, and avichuelas (pinto beans). The chicken was packed with flavor. The beans were stewed until the broth was rich and savory (honestly my fave part so good). This came with a refreshing salad with purple cabbage and fresh lettuces. (it was colorful and crisp). To top it all off it was suuuuuper reasonably priced. $11 for a delicious and satisfying meal.
Vivaldi Restaurant has a sleek and modern aesthetic, but still comfortable. Everything was clean and well maintained so that always makes eating enjoyable and relaxing.
Wheelchair accessibility: The floor is smooth, clean, level, and flat.“

“Food is great. Would definitely recommend if Dominican food is what you have a taste for. The shop is small so be prepared if you go when it is crowded.
Parking: Parking is very minimal, but you can park in the middle of the street or at the market on the next block.
Wheelchair accessibility: No“
“This is my go-to spot on a weeknight when I'm hungry, and want something delicious, fulfilling and cheap. Paying $10 for a huge chicken and rice platter full of sauce and flavor, beans and a side salad is a win-win on any day! They don't really speak English and I don't care! She knows me, I get my food and go home happy. You can dine in, but I wouldn't recommend it. lol Just get your food and leave. Don't go there expecting warm hugs and kisses and extravagant furnishings. The food is good and cheap. The end.“

“Another good spot for Dominican food in Philadelphia, not a lot of luxury, but a lot of flavor. The cost for the food went up the last time I was there, where you could get something major for $10, but the menu is well worth it, plus the Dominican candy that they sell always never fails. If I had the time, it would be El Placer of this place, and this place never fails. Plus great owners.“

“This is our favorite location. Almost every Sunday on the way home from church we stop at this location. Everyone is nice and sometimes I feel sorry for the girls that work in the kitchen in the summer time, because it's probably about 150 degrees in there, but they do what they gotta do.“
