The workers here are always kind, the food is excellent and the prices are reasonable. It's part of the community and it has been for 40 years. And now they're being forced out because, as near as I can tell, their landlords are wretched bullies uninterested in what makes the neighborhood great. I love this place and I'll miss it.
Garden Court Eatery has been a staple for me in the 5 years I've been living in the neighborhood. A reliable place to grab beers and a snack after most other stores in the area are closed. Staff has always treated me with respect and are very friendly. The food was always reliable for a good cheesesteak for lunch or a breakfast sandwich or platter in the mornings.
When I heard this weekend that the building manager will not renew their lease, forcing this business to close...read full review

Garden Court Eatery in West Philly offers a great concept with breakfast and Mexican food, a wide variety of beers, and fantastic, flavorful dishes like chicken katsu and cheesesteak egg rolls. The staff is always helpful and the single bottle beer selection is incredible. Don't miss their freshly made tortilla chips!
