Govinda's Vegetarian Cuisine

Govindas is really, really amazingly good....most of the time. I've nearly always had good experiences from here. I've ordered many many times throughout the years and sometimes, its hit or miss. Almost like they get new chefs that dont know what they're doing but then learn and catch-up? not sure what is to blame for the inconsistency but i do really love this place, all in all, and would love to see them flourish with a bit more consistency!

OMGGGG! The bestest bestest vegetarian cheesesteak. I was not about to come to Philly and not have a cheesesteak and since I'm vegetarian this was the perfect spot! It was huge and so filling. I had the soy chicken one and I was so full and it was so delish! Customer service was fast and prompt and everything was so good. Def gonna come back and have this when I'm in Philadelphia :)

I've been here 5 or 6 times and it's really a hit or miss. The chicken cheesesteak, chicken nuggets, and fish sandwich are great (Blackbird's cheesesteak is still better). Shrimp nuggets and fries are okay. Meatball sub is decent but wouldn't recommend it. Last night I got the golden tofu wrap which was completely inedible. I can usually choke down food even if it's not great, but this was just bad. The rice was undercooked, the tofu was soggy, and the flavor was weird. I don't...read full review
