This is a good spot for Seafood it's not Bad at all for to be in North Philly.it was better than a lot of expensive place in Philadelphia.I Like That it appears To be very clean And The Fish Grease Doesn't Appear To Be Old Cooking Grease...
The best breaded chicken wings & fried seafood in the city! They even have chicken gizzards. Very professional & great customer service. Call in your order first as parking is scarce metered parking. Only con is that they only accept cash. They also have a variety of desserts and homemade beverages. Steamed seafood platters as well. But the breaded fried food is what has me coming back again & again.

Haven't been to John's since the 90's. Of course the food is different now. The food was good. I wanted a classic fish hoagie and it was everything I thought it would be. That is my go to when I want those nostalgic classics. I think the food is somewhat reasonably priced for the current times. The staff was polite and courteous and friendly. It's a take out spot, it's nothing fancy but there is good food.
