South Street Souvlaki, is a hidden gem within Philadelphia. It was my first time here. I had lunch with a friend. I had the Gyro and she had the salad with chicken. The food is absolutely delicious. And I was pleasantly surprised at the generous portion sizes. At the end of the meal she had coffee and I had espresso and the espresso was amazing. Our Server was absolutely awesome. The service is quick and the prices are very affordable. I also got a chance to meet the Owner. He is the nicest man. He allowed me to take some interior photos and a short video. The entire experience of dining there was extremely positive. I am definitely going to return to South Street Souvlaki. I highly recommend South Street Souvlaki.
Vegetarian options: I was actually going to order the vegetarian stuffed peppers. I would recommend it here. Lots of choices.
Kid-friendliness: This is definitely a family and friends environment.
Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is on the ground floor and there won't be any issues with mobility. There's plenty of seating and the aisles are wide enough. I think that you will love it here.

Ordered online - gyro, small Greek salad, & baklava ($20) - 5min walk to take out window ….my food was ready & steaming hot. Everything is delicious & authentic. Salad had big pieces of feta. Next time I’d get dressing on the side. A gem in my neighborhood.

Love this spot. Went here for my birthday dinner and took my friend here for their birthday. Never disappoints. Lamb melted off the bone. Baklava dozed with honey. Couldn't ask for more without being in Greece.

I get gyro to go here all the time and it’s good. But I sat down for lunch yesterday and got the Greek salad and hummus+falafel and it was by far the worst meal I’ve had in Philly. Legit Sysco school cafeteria salad & dressing, hummus was NOT hummus it was like tailgate bean dip and falafel looked like they’d just been pulled out of freezer. We couldn’t finish it. Blegh.

If you are craving Mediterranean food don't go any further than South Street Souvlaki. Their turlu is the best vegatable dish in the region. The Gyro topped with tizatziki is always an excellent choice. Other items we've ordered are the Souvlaki platter, greek salad, horiatiki, skordalia and beets, grilled pork chops, and the scrumptous grilled tuna never disappoints. in fact all of their fish is simply dellicious.
Vegetarian options: Turlu, string beans, several salads. I miss their spinach.
Parking: Go early on any day of the week.

Theeeeeee best authentic Greek food! My daughter and I love it so much. We go often! We always get the Gyro with everything on it. But today we tried the potato dish on the very end maybe it was a sweet potato. We like getting one small side of their other dishes to try them out. And they do not disappoint!!!! And the service is so friendly. The atmosphere brought me back to Greece. Even the vibes and decor are authentic.
