This is a wonderful family-run establishment that serves up incredibly fresh, delicious food. For a treat after your meal, enjoy a cup of Turkish coffee and a piece of rich, flaky baklava.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Pittsburgh and literally the best Turkish food I have ever eaten. Their hummus, baba ghanoush, and grape leaves are to die for (you can order all 3 in the triple appetizer for a more-than-reasonable price). I recommend the döner/gyro or salmon platters. Both have crazy large serving sizes and the food is so fresh, beautifully cooked, and seasoned. The hot tea is also fantastic and is served in the cutest glass cup. I loved Daphne Cafe. They haven't been open in a while. Unfortunately I walked past yesterday and the interior is almost empty--clearly they are cleaning it out after closing. This is so sad--it was a lovely family-owned business with delicious food and an amazing staff. Another covid casualty, apparently.
