MIJO Cantina is a Mexican restaurant praised for its food, drinks, and cozy setting. The intimate space is cozy without feeling claustrophobic, and the food is always good. A Street burrito stuffed with fries, guacamole and perfectly cooked carne asada is a highlight, and each bite is bigger than the last. The Shrimp Quesadilla is fantastic, the Salsa Verde is muy authentico, and the fresh chips with red salsa are Super Good. One reviewer calls it the Best Mexican restaurant north of the Lone Star State after 4 years in Texas. The Green Chili Potatoes blew everyone away at a catering order for about 20 people, which included a street tacos set up with chicken and potatoes as fillings and a trio of dips (queso and the red and green salsas), with tortillas and street taco toppings portioned out on the side so everyone could customize their own tacos. The make your own burrito with chorizo and beans is super flavorful, and the steak version is fantastic. The house lager goes perfect with the food. The atmosphere is great, the drinks are excellent, and the service is attentive, friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable of the menu. The huge bar plays a bunch of games, and there are daily food and drink specials. MIJO Cantina is a really good spot for food and drinks worth coming back to.

Fantastic Shrimp Quesadilla. Salsa Verde is muy authentico
! Fresh chips, red salsa is Super Good!!! 4 years in Texas and I gotta say the Best Mexican restaurant north of the Lone Star State. The owner, Adrian, is working it!

The food and the margaritas are top notch!

First time there, today. Service was friendly and the green chili burgers are delicious!! All 3 of us agreed!
