It’s refreshing to see an authentic Spanish place in such a small area and so close to my location. Also, they prepare fresh juices such as watermelon juice, cantaloupe juice, horchata, and more!“

“I am closing in on 40 and have been coming to this restaurant since I was a small child, some of my earliest memories are family dinners at Da Chen. The staff here are amazing— kind, attentive, helpful, and generous. Their house made duck sauce and crispy fried wonton chips ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD. Do not sleep on them if you only ever order take-out! You receive the crispy wonton chips with any soup order, but you have to ask for their homemade duck sauce on the side (costs like 25¢ iirc)!!! My favorite foods from here are: wonton soup, their complimentary jasmine tea, shrimp toast, beef & broccoli, sweet & sour chicken, general tso’s chicken, pork fried rice, and the bao bao platter (it’s such a fun treat eating this for dine-in). You will always receive the same quality service and food here, and somehow over the years it’s even gotten better! Da Chen is child-friendly and has high chairs available to use, and is wheelchair-accessible straight from the ample free parking lot and into the restaurant. Da Chen accepts cash, debit or credit. “This is absolutely one of the two best falafel places in Philadelphia.
One thing you need to know - either come when it’s busy and the falafel always gets out of the oil or ask for fresh, out-of-the-oil falafel.
The difference between a hot super fresh falafel and falafel that sat till cooled down is huge.
One more thing I wish they’d do is to keep their pita bread in a humidifier - to keep them moist, fresh and elastic.
No photos this time because it disappeared in 2 second - I really missed a falafel this good.

We decided on the menu and then we were guests at our own dinner. It is full service. The ambience was good and our guests enjoyed both the food and their awesome selection of cocktails. As a non-Yemeni Middle Easterner, this was my first real experience with Yemeni food, and I was blown away. I was so impressed that I later tried a Fahsa at another Yemeni spot just to compare — and it wasn’t even close to what I had here.

“Literally one of my favorites in Philly, Bistro Southeast never disappoints! I have eaten here too many times to not have written a review yet. The food is always flavorful, fresh, and hot. What I like most is that it is always consistent and the portions are sizable. The crab fried rice is my favorite item on their menu but everything I’ve tried has been amazing. The wings are crispy and well seasoned, the salads are refreshing and feeling, the mango sticky rice is the perfect balance of sweet and savory…I’ve tried other dishes as well, just too many to list haha! In addition to the food, the service is great. The staff is always so friendly, they play apart in how frequently I eat there as well. I don’t have any pictures of my food because when I remember to take them my food is already half gone.“
