I just finished a delicious turkey hoagie that was not only packed with turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, and hot peppers on a great roll but at a great price! Service was fast and the young man taking my order was friendly, polite, and too honest for his own good. I will definitely be making at stop here weekly this summer.”

“My husband and I have been regulars since they opened. We lived in Philly for 45 years, enjoying Indian food there, as well as NY and London. Green Chili is 10/10+ each and every time! We are thrilled to have this restaurant close by, as excellent ethnic foods are impossible to find up this way. The owners are dedicated to to their craft and customers. We highly recommend Green Chili. They opened another store a few doors down, with desserts and snacks - we will be trying the Kulfi ice cream tonight. We have loved everything we ordered and still so many more dishes to try. We almost always do take-out. Be patient when placing your order....they are busy!!”

The star of the evening, however, was our server Tony—friendly, attentive, and never made us feel rushed. “Our evening started with a table outside which I thoroughly enjoyed. Our server Luigi took our cocktail order and we ordered salads to start. I recalled when he just started as a server a couple of years ago and he is wonderful. Very sweet and attentive to ensure a great dining experience. I had a Freska Cocktail...absolutely divine, it had Broker's Gin and Skinos Matisha liquer over pebble ice and a cucumber slice curled up for fragrance and beautiful appearance. To say I enjoyed this cocktail is an understatement. It was fab. My salad was the tomato 'Village' salad which is served with everything I appreciate, wonderful Olives, capers, cucumbers, thinly sliced red onions, wedges of feta and some other fresh herbs with a light dressing. It was delicious. My husband had the beet salad which had different color beets and as well wedges of feta. All so fresh. For dinner my husband had the filet mignon and I had the grilled Lamb Chops with lemon potatoes and stuffed eggplant. The white wine was delicious as well. This is our go to restaurant. The owner Melissa could not be more pleasant as well. When I told her how much we enjoyed dinner we had a nice conversation.”

“We were looking for a BBQ caterer for our annual Memorial Weekend Party and having a difficult time finding one we liked. Someone recommended The Taste Smokers and on a rainy Saturday afternoon we stopped in to try the food. To be honest, we didn't expect it to be any better than the others, we were sooo wrong. The food is incredible and we decided at that moment we had to have them cater our party. We spent 2 hours with Q and V planning what we were going to serve and enjoying ther company. We left feeling like family. The party was yesterday. Q arrived on time and the food was hot and ready to serve. Q sliced the Brisket cap fresh and cleaned up the kitchen. The food was incredible and our guests were raving. The ribs were perfect, the Brisket moist and tasty, the wings were a particular hit and the Brisket meatballs wrapped in bacon were fantastic. Pitmaster Q was welcomed with a round of applause from our guests. He waited to make sure everyone was enjoying the food. He genuinely loves what he does and his pride in his food is well deserved. This was hands down the best barbecue we've served and we will have them back again. Plus Q & V are awesome!!!”

“I have gone past this general location for 20 years. I don't know how long jacks been here for but I have passed it a lot living around the area. I finally decided to stop and try it because I've always been interested in the hidden pizza location as I call it. I got two small pizzas one Hawaiian and the other meat lovers and also I got a cheese steak. I must say that the service was great and helped me out with being short
3$. I believe the prices are fairly priced. The cheese steak is definitely without a doubt the best cheese steak I have had in a long time. The pizzas were also good. Definitely a location I'd suggest checking out even if the atmosphere is plain. Don't let the plain atmosphere trick you into thinking the food here is not good because it's definitely does have good food. I'll definitely come back to try different pizzas and get more cheese steak.”

“My lamb gyro was just okay, the fries were good, but the huge surprise was my wife got the cauliflower gyro and it was amazing! We are not vegetarian, but she saw all the cauliflower around the store and it peaked her interest. Not sure what they do to that cauliflower, but it was amazing. I wish I would have got it instead of the lamb.”

Staff: 10/10. Our first visit to Bonn was moderately busy, but the staff took the time to answer questions, was friendly and knowledgeable, and was very attentive.
Our second visit was slammed busy with a line practically out the door.
I honestly didn’t notice a difference or drop in service. Absolute all-stars.

Beer: this place is a goldmine of English pub styles with outstanding milds and bitters. We worked our way through the tap list and couldn’t find a beer that wasn’t good to great.

Parking: located next to two large parking lots (pay). Well lit.

Food: none. Fuel up before you go.

Atmosphere: small, quaint, but comfortable and welcoming. On our first visit, another patron at the bar told us, “I envy you…I wish I could experience this place again for the first time.” It’s that kind of place. You just click with the vibe and it feels good. On both visits here, we didn’t want to leave.

Overall: I brewed my first beer 25 years ago. I’m a certified beer judge. I’ve lived all over the US and traveled extensively. Not everyone is going to instantly click with this place, or fall in love with their style. I did, and I have. Bonn Place is in my top 20 favorite breweries in the US. Give them a try.”
