We had 4 people. 1 order of 2 pancakes, 1 order of 3 pancakes, 1 order of French toast and 1 order of strawberry cheesecake stuffed pancakes. Do you think 2 little bottles of syrup is enough? French toast was just about cold qhen more syrup arrived. Asked 3 times for the strawberry syrup sauce that comes with the strawberry cheesecake pancakes to finally be told they were out of it. When talked to the server about this saying that it would have been nice to know this before ordering as something else would have been ordered, was told I had an attitude as the server walked away from the table. Then server never came back to the table until she dropped the bill off. I said oh I need to order a to go order. Three times I told her we needed the strawberry icebox pie. She brings the bill back drops it off, I check it and it is wrong to go item. Then had to wait more time for her to come back, I finally asked another server to get her. The whole experience took about 2hours usually our dining experience is much more timely, nice and positive but not this time was frustrating and felt not listened to or appreciated.“

“Delicious!!! My friends and I were so excited to try Bar Jawn, especially since we’ve loved Pizza Jawn for a long time! The food and drinks were all fabulous - Bar Jawn has a chill, relaxed atmosphere but boasts an elevated bar menu that is so much more and so far beyond typical bar food! Some of our favorites were the drunken ravioli, the buffalo arancini (so inventive!!!), the chicken parm (make sure you get it with ravioli!), the mozzarella triangles (mozz sticks with an upgrade!) and the eggplant stack! “Illata has become our favorite Fitler Square restaurant, and we've been in the neighborhood for 22 years. It's a little gem, nestled on Gray's Ferry Ave just steps from South Street. The staff is extraordinarily pleasant and helpful, and the food is - in a word- exquisite. All delicious, all prepared beautifully, a very balanced menu of seafood, red meat and vegetarian options. Their desserts are divine!
But perhaps the most amazing, and extremely reasonable addition, to the menu is their sourdough bread- hearty and flavorful, with a perfect slightly chewy feel on the tongue. We've taken to order some to go!

I was at The Ridley House on Saturday night (May, 11) and even though she was very busy with other customers she took time to treat me like I was her only customer!. I never experienced that level of customer service before. I am disappointed that she does not work behind the bar anymore because I thought she was a great bartender and cared about her customers!. “My coworker and I ate here every day while in town for business after our first visit. We tried the hoagies, barbecue, wings, sides, and desserts—everything was delicious! “Ordered takeout and it was out of this world as always. When I called they were super busy and I let them know I will wait if Chef can accommodate and I provided my order. Let them know I’m right down the street and just need a 5 minute notice and they would call back when it wasn’t busy - they called me back in less than 30 minutes and said ready in 10 minutes. I love the fact that if they are too busy and can’t accommodate at that time they’re honest. It’s a small family business the Mom is the host and probably one of my favorites she is like old school south Philly meets Mother Theresa! The chef is a perfectionist and I always try at least one special and have never regretted it. I am utterly amazed each time at the dishes he comes up with. Overall price wise they cannot be beat, huge portions and every bite was heavenly. Where can you get this much fresh, delicious food for under $100 no where except New American Bistro. It’s also extremely rare to get take out and it be as good as served in the restaurant. The beet with pistachio encrusted goat cheese salad with raspberry dressing. This salad had it all! Everything was so fresh and crisp. There were so many bursts of flavor. This was a special hopefully it will be added to the menu. Rating: 5/5 Spicy crab chowder - we always order. It’s my husband’s favorite soup. Rating: 5/5 Blackened Scallops with Raviolis and Lobster Sauce - we always order. Appetizer size comes with 4 blackened scallops and a couple ravioli. Rating: 5/5 Maryland crab cake with Ravioli and pesto sauce. This was my first time trying and typically does not get pesto dishes. This had so much flavor and was refreshing if that makes any sense. Appetizer size comes with a very large crab cake and a couple ravioli. Rating: 5/5 Gnocchi's with Jumbo Lump Crabmeat and Gorgonzola Sauce- this is my absolute favorite dish. The Gorgonzola sauce you could drink. I dip the homemade bread in the sauce after. It’s my favorite. I’m a huge Gorgonzola fan I put it on everything. The Gorgonzola sauce on this particular dish I find to be mild and perfection. I just woke up thinking of this dish it is so unbelievably good. Rating: 5/5“

“My mom comes every two weeks and the last two weeks I decided to join her. We stop at each individual shop so I could check everything out. We always enjoy anything we ever buy from the Amish Market. I could not recommend them more. From their produce, to meat, to salad bar, wine and even their milkshakes will make you keep coming back for more!“

“I traveled from Atlanta to Union Steaks, and it was worth it! Perfectly located by the Philadelphia United arena, the cheese steaks are among the best in the area. Soft bread, fresh peppers, and onions made every bite delightful. Bonus: the entire menu is Halal! The staff is friendly, and their cheese steak nachos are a must-try. I’ve been back multiple times and can’t say enough good things about the employees, customers, DJ Moon with the banging Music Bingo music and fun, Awesome prizes, GREAT food, Incredible drinks, lots of TV’s to watch the games, Sports watch parties, etc. As much as I want you guys to get more business, I love the “Cheers” bar similar atmosphere!!! Our server Brendon apologized for the delay in getting to our table, explaining that it had been a wild night and they were slightly understaffed (understandable, it was Valentine's Day). After that, though, he was attentive and friendly for the entire meal. The winter salad I ordered was enormous and although it could have used more dressing, it was still enjoyable. My friend's burger came with a generous portion of fries and was phenomenal. For drinks, I opted for their "dealer's choice" option that lets you roll three dice to create a unique off-menu cocktail. It was dangerously tasty and a generous pour. After dinner, we moved to the bar and chatted with the bar manager Jeremy, who was not only also incredibly friendly and great conversation, but knew his way around the bar and came up with another bespoke cocktail when they were out of an ingredient for the drink I originally wanted. “I had a reservation at noon but a few wrong turns in an area unfamiliar to me made us late. I called and asked if we could still be accommodated. Emilia graciously reassured me that we would be welcome. My granddaughter and I were warmly greeted and seated upon arrival. Our waiter introduced himself and shared the specials and we began looking at the menu. Fifteen minutes later, I was looking around for our waiter when the manager approached. He offered to take our order, which was so kind. My granddaughter (F) ordered the donuts for us to share, and the Chicken Tenders from the Children's menu, and for me, the BLT. The manager acknowledged to F that the donuts were a specialty and an excellent choice. She was delighted. Minutes later, when he returned to our table, he apologized that they had run out of donuts. To F's delight, he offered the Banana bread as a substitute --on the house! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and time together made even better by the attentiveness of the Manager. This was a special outing for us as we were celebrating her Birthday. Beautiful environment, excellent food and memorable experience. Highly recommend!“
