“There's a place you can go, on a nice country-drive kind of day, where there're delicious beers on tap, a Korean restaurant (Pocha) and a Sprankles Market grocery store, ALL IN THE SAME BUILDING!

This magical unicorn of a joint is called the Grist House, and it's located in Saxonburg PA.

The beer-tender was outgoing and funny, the wife liked her immediately. The Korean food Pocha by Kye-Won was absolutely authentic and delicious.

And Sprankles Market is there to get a gallon of milk, some frozen Cornish game hens, and nice farm produce after you eat and have a couple beers.

Great beers! They have a rotating list of four beers of the week that are only $5bucks, during that week.

“This is a good place to have events. They have a decent bar selection and the prices are good. Food selection is ok and service is ok. Acoustics are good for sound for an event. Parking is generally readily available as well. The restrooms are not necessarily handicapped accessible.

Wheelchair accessibility: There are accessible spots. The restrooms cannot fit a wheelchair though.”

“I want to give shout-out to Brooke. I got a sandwich today and when I came in there were already two people ahead of me and at least two online orders she was juggling. By time the people in front of me were done, there were about four people in line behind me, line almost out the door, and at least three more online orders had come in. Brooke kept hustling and still got me in and out quickly, and didn't seem to be breaking a sweat in a situation where I personally would be very stressed out. She held her ground and just kept chugging through the line and balanced doing the online orders fairly with taking the people physically in the store. I wish she had someone there to help her but she can hold her own!

I also want to commend this store for its commitment to improving their craft. It's easy to look at it like it's just a sandwich but I've seen them revise their process in a way that makes me feel like they really care about what they're doing. They've started putting the cheese on before the meat, which toasts better, and putting the sauces on before the veggies so that it doesn't splat out everywhere when they close the bread. Simple changes, but ones they've committed to that make a difference. I don't know if that's a corporate move or a franchise one but either way, the folks that work here do seem to care about the quality of their work and to care about the people they serve.”

“I havent had wings in Years due to everywhere i went they always had a ton of feathers still attached and just didnt hit the palate right. Today my daughter brought me wings from here.. They were in a nice box, still hot when they got here and absolutely amazing!! I will definitely be purchasing them here in the future and can not wait to let my children try the pizza. Then, I looked around and loved all the personal decor touches throughout, from the greenery to the cute drawings. “We had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. Our waitress Riley was super friendly and knowledgeable. She offered us suggestions and let us know all the little ways they make their food and drinks so good. We had an orange Creamsicle drink, buffalo chicken dip, chicken quesadilla and custom Stromboli. The cook hand delivered the food and made sure everything was fantastic. We will most definitely be back.”
