“It has been a long time since I felt the need to leave a food review. Especially for a strip mall Chinese spot. I am in the area for an event and decided to grab a quick easy lunch at No. 1 Chinese Restaurant. I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken Lunch Special. It was delicious! The taste was well above its strip mall setting. I also got a side of their hot chili oil and together with the Kung pao flavors it made me literally lick my bowl clean. Yeah, I did that. I would highly recommend this location and if I am ever back in the area, I will surely make another visit. I would love to try more of their options.

Parking: Plenty of off street, lot parking.

Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to access at sidewalk level. Inside is small but everything is well spaced.“

“Best Chinese food restaurant in Berks county. I'm a foodie and have tried almost all of the Chinese food places in Berks. I love their service, their food, it's a decent size to dine in. The rice is not soggy or too hard, it's just rite. The other restaurants always in such a bad mood, act like they don't speak English, rush you, no dine in, etc....I recommend their salt and pepper shrimp 10/10.“

“I always pass it by...it never looks busy, but I stopped today and I'm not going to gatekeep this place. The food was 10/10. The eggrolls, the fried wontons, the chicken wings, the general, the boneless ribs, the fried rice....all perfectly prepared. Please check this place out...they deserve a blessing. “Chan's fried chicken is really good! I love their wings, but their half fried chicken always catches my eye because it looks so good! The food never tastes old always fresh, and the restaurant is really clean. You have to try Chan's at least once to understand.“

Vegetarian options: I order the mixed vegetable or chinese mixed veg. The broccoli in garlic sauce, large vegetable soup. They have other things you can choose and, steamed options as well.“

“I had this food delivered so I can’t speak to the place itself.
I had boneless spare rib meal. I like the ribs a bit sweeter but they were good. The fried rice is pretty basic and the eggroll was good.
My wife and kid both enjoyed their food.
I would order from here again.“

“Yum! We are never disappointed with food at Zhuang’s. We love the owners and the family. We have watched the young ones grow over the years. The Sushi is amazing. My husband enjoys the Sushi/Sashimi Combo plate. I myself especially enjoy the General Tso’s Chicken and Fried dumpling. No inside dining right now but who doesn’t love take out. Please support our locally owned businesses in these difficult times that we are all experiencing.“

“Must try! Did not go inside, had delivery. Over the years in Exeter Township, we would alternate between China Penn, Joyful House in Douglassville, Best China Chef, and Family Garden in the city, the latter two being hit or miss for several months. I saw some positive local reviews for Lucky House and so glad I tried it. Recommend the teriyaki beef on a stick, General Tso’s chicken, and the shrimp roll had two decent size shrimp in it that were tasty. General Tso’s was super spicy. Despite that, it was light, crispy, flavorful, and just really good. It was fresh, didn’t stick together, and was not overcooked and dry like some we have had. Will definitely order from here next time.“

“I was introduced to this restaurant by my brother in law. I grew up and am still from NYC, we had a Chinese restaurant that made pizza rolls, and long ago they shut down. Pizza rolls had become my favorite at the Chinese restaurant because they were so delicious. I have visited many food places that would have pizza rolls on the menu but didn't have them in stock. So, having visited my family in Reading, PA this was our first stop. Their pizza rolls are amazing. I wish they made them a bit bigger, but for the size they make them already, still hits the spot. If you're ever in the area, give this place a try for their Chinese food. But don't forget to add the pizza rolls to your order, you won't regret it. ??????“

“Great food at a great price! Especially for being in a mall for court. The owner is always up front and friendly. I'm a little upset that there aren't free sesame chicken samples but I suppose that's because of Covid. The bourbon chicken is their specialty item and I've never had bourbon chicken like it anywhere else. Sesame chicken is good too, crunchy and good flavor. Also love the green beans and fried rice. Pictures of food were at the end of the night but food was still fresh and they were still making new food.“

“Never been in to eat. We've only ever gotten delivery. Prices are great for the amount of food you get. Food is delicious and it's our go to. When it's delivered, it's quick and piping hot still. You can't beat it for this area (not alot of options in the Adamstown/Denver area). My husband is from New York and he said it reminds him of Chinese food from the city (which in his opinion is the best).“

“Food is so good. Whenever we wanted to taste Asian style soup and noodles, we go this restaurant. We went couple of times and dine-in.Menu prices are very reasonable. This restaurant attracts so much crowd and most of the orders are for pickup only. Very few dine-in here.They accept all type of payments. Restaurant has restrooms for men & women separately.Table service is available. Any spoons, forks etc are self served. Paper napkins, additional cups or plates, we need to ask them.Free parking as this restaurant is inside the shopping complex.

Vegetarian options: Vegetarian Soup, Vegetarian Noodles available. Most of other dishes are meat based.

Kid-friendliness: No specific kids menu but the kids also enjoy the food.

Wheelchair accessibility: It doesn't seem the entrance door is not wheelchair accessible. We had to pull or push the door. Restrooms also not wheelchair friendly.“

“I honestly wanted to give a 4.5 but Google wouldn't let me. The place is calm and quiet, and the staff are fantastic! Only issue is that occasionally the food [primarily appetizers] can be stale. Not sure if that is a personnel or a day-of-week problem, but it's pretty infrequent. We swapped here from Best China awhile back and like it a lot. Next time we'll prob do Best China to compare again. Update then if I remember! :)“
