On the last day of my extended July 4th weekend, I finally swung out to Peppe Steaks. Honestly, I wish I had done so a long time ago as this is now my favorite cheesesteak place.
I ordered no onions, Cooper, and seeded. Side of onion rings. The bread is Liscio's and, frankly, I prefer Sarcone's because I like a little more chew and a harder crust. Peppe's has been on my radar since they opened. Finally tried two weeks ago and went back again tonight. Absolutely the best cheesesteak I have ever had. I got Cooper Sharp, mushrooms and fried onions with a side of Marinara. The sandwich is large enough to share and the ribeye meat is lean and very flavorful. The sandwich is packed in a styrofoam box and stayed piping hot for my 15 min drive home.Their staff is polite and friendly. Wish I had gone sooner.
One of the very best steak sandwiches I’ve ever had! Nice people, super food. The Go Birds sandwich was also spectacular. Eating in is a bit spare and noisy - but the food is so good it’s well worth the stop! EXCELLENT!
