“We just moved here. Walked in to ask for a takeout menu. It felt so warm and inviting and the staff behind the counter were so friendly that we decided to stay. Our server Jessica was very welcoming. My wife enjoyed the corned beef special on gluten-free bread. She said it tasted like real deli corned beef. I got a large hunk of Reuben quiche (it was Quiche of the Day) and it was delicious! Large chunks of corned beef, cheesy, and a yummy crust. Definitely going back, so many items in the display case looked tantalizing. This place feels like a hidden gem.“

“An opportunity to see a nice band, Southern Avenue, in a small venue. Sound was pretty good given the confines of the space which has glass all along the side of one wall. Service was mediocre. While the menu was interesting, seems like the kitchen was having issues with execution. Needed another couple runners and probably two more waiters/waitresses with a full house. Won't go back for food but if the music is good would get a seat at the bar.“

“Have visited the cafe on the 19th of August to buy some treats for take away. Have bought two packets of mantolato, traditional finger sweet. Have to admit that it was delicious. I regret I did not buy some other treats to try!! Mantolato has been very fresh and tasty. There is variety of many products. There is parking for one car in front of the cafe, at the main road of Apollonia. Staff has been very friendly. Good job Gerontolopoulos team!!!“

“We originally went for the Sushi to this kosher restaurant in Northeast Philadelphia on Castor Avenue -- but instead we enjoyed and could not have enough of: Halomi Salad and Mushroom Wheel. One was in a friendly, family environment that went over backwards to please you-- and it felt like you were being take care of by family -- in a small comfortable town in Israel. The Halomi salad's taste reminded one of someplace in the Galil that was so good and so impossible to find of any quality anywhere in the whole US; the mushroom wheel so unique and tasty that it could not be forgotten.“

“Big fan of the Borsch Belt because they have gluten friendly options! Actually, they’re the only place locally where I can get the most delicious gluten free everything bagel breakfast sandwich! They are soft with the most wonderful bread texture and delicious flavor. I usually order 2-3 extra bagels for my freezer at home. Unfortunately, this last time I ordered the bagels were rock hard, solid, and bit stale. Hopefully it was a one time occurrence!!“

“I’m not a coffee drinker but the person I was with got the Coraline iced flight. The flavors were pretty interesting and I actually liked one a lot. I got the strawberry cheesecake stuffed French toast which was AMAZING. So much cheesecake filling and a good amount of strawberries too. It was a good amount of food, but little enough that I was able to eat it in one sitting.

Super cute inside and I love the skeleton outside too! Definitely will visit again and would probably go frequently if I were a coffee drinker and a morning person.“
