“Service was great considering how crowded the place was. The waitress was quick and attentive. My dissapointment came in the misrepresented chicken Chesapeake. I asked for no cheese, not a big deal, when it came out with cheese I asked to have it fixed. No problem, it came back out with no cheese. Now it's naked crab meat on a chicken breast. I asked the sender who delivered it where is the imperial sauce ? The menu says it has it ? He took it back to the kitchen, came back out and said this is how they make it. Well the menu says it has imperial sauce on it ? Which is one of the yummy ingredients I was expecting. False advertising.... I'd try the place again, just wish the menu was correct.“

“We were in Abbottstown to get new wheels for our van at L&M. It was dinner time and we decided to stop at Altland House Grill & Pub on the way home. Excellent. We sat on the porch and had a nice relaxed time. Our server was friendly and attentive. We had the flatbread and fish and chips. The food was tasty and it was fun to watch the traffic navigating the traffic circle as we ate. The price was reasonable.“

“The service was attentive and excellent.I loved the bench that had a truck door as the back. It is a small, intimate bar and restaurant. The prices are reasonable. I saw they have wings on the menu, so I will go back so my husband can try their wings.“

“Stopped by again for a weekday lunch - this time we had a Short Rib Grilled Cheese & an Old English Melt .......aaannnd of course the signature basket of chips with Balsamic Vinaigrette drizzle & sprinkled Parm. Could go there for nothing but the chips! But I must say both sandwiches were AWEsome! We made reservations since it was the Monday of Valentine's week but, although busy, the place wasn't slammed. Our server was attentive & everything came out in a timely fashion - love the ambience! Lot of dark wood & copper which lends to the historical feel or the venue (Inn goes back to 1763) - always enjoy stopping in! (still) Highly recommended!“

“This is my third time rattling here, and every time the food has been of a high quality and priced well. Tonight I have a cold, so I am having the Chicken Soup and Greg, who prepares all the soups from scratch, had done an AWESOME job on the Chicken Soup! I've had the Steamed Clams twice, along with boiled shrimp...excellent! The Cheeseburger and Fries are perfect.“

“Wonderful family style bar and grill. Food is great, service is super. Only thing is not having brewed iced tea. But I survived with bottled tea. We live in York and it was a rainy day and we wanted somewhere to go. We definitely will go again. The ribs they serve on Sunday (??) are fantastic. Stop by and enjoy. You won't regret or forget the stop.Parking: Plenty of free parking and if necessary there is an empty car lot across the street. Probably parking for 100 vehicles.“

“This is one of those great little hole-in-the-wall bars that makes York a great place it is a little small bar that's always there and always open the staff is awesome and the owner is a great guy this is one of those places that's a rare gem good cheap beers great pool tables good place to just kick back and have a good time!“

“The Hawaiian burger was recommended to me by the bartender and it did NOT miss!! It was delicious and I'm glad I took her up on her recommendation. Service was terrific. No complaints!! But I also tend to have a low standard and a more patience when it comes to the service industry since I used to work in it. So take that for what you will.“
