“Good food, a welcoming atmosphere, and live music. Menu is fairly limited, but normal pub grub done well. Service on arrival was pretty poor but stepped up once we were seated. Live music was a pleasant surprise, and not overbearing, we could still have good table conversation. Will visit again.“

“I've been going to 5 points since the 70s. Always had great bar food. This past Saturday, they had a Specials menu. On it was Lamb shank with Rossoto. I ordered it. The shank was awesome. The Rossoto was even better. Texture and taste were out of this world. Vincent is the chef, and I asked to see him. I told him I knew he was a good chef when my wife got her house salad. It was the perfect size and had 7 different ingredients in it. I hope they hold on to Vincent. He is committed to quality and great food.“

I ordered the Delmonico sandwich not once, but TWICE because it was that god damn good and I needed one to go (I ate half of the 2nd sandwich on the way home). “Tavern at the Sun Inn saved the day today - actually Scott did! The food truck was closed today and I was sent upstairs to the bar, thank goodness we did! My friend and I had set in our minds what we wanted to beverage but now had no idea since the other menu was specific to the truck. Scott had asked what he could get us - my reply was simple- I needed one drink to be cherry bounce and another to be made with boilo. He did not disappoint!! Cherry bounce mule and the other was an apple cider boilo martini…I can’t even say which was better because they were both equally amazing! I didn’t catch the girl’s name that was also working up there, but she was a huge help with assisting me with carrying all the drinks to our table. “Great local, dog friendly dive bar with outdoor seating and a view. We arrived after hiking with our dog and they had just opened. Our server was very sweet and kind, and checked on us throughout our stay at appropriate times. The food was solid and what you'd expect from a divey local bar like this and we were very pleased. Decent beer options, their menu was a little out of date as they didn't have the mango cart but not a big deal at all. I wouldn't hesitate to return my next time in the area! Also they have great daily specials. The day we went they had $5 dozen oysters!“

HOWEVER, This place does NOT qualify as "gluten free" in any sense of the terms definition. They do have items that do not contain gluten, but they do not have a separate fryer and do not fully comprehend how dangerous cross contamination is. So no separate prep area, no changing gloves or aprons in prep for handling non-allergen items.Note, for some who have celiac, they are asymptomatic, like my Daughter... this means that we get no warning, we just get worse case scenario right out the gate.I pray those who are looking for a good meal at a decent price and a comfy atmosphere will visit Sharkeys (519) . But those with any special food needs either need to bring their own or not take chances relying on this kitchen to adequately meet your needs.Dietary restrictions: It is said in the body of my review.
