“Visited with a friend for dinner yesterday. No wait on a Saturday night. We shared the pakora starter. I got the jollof rice with tofu. My friend got the black bean bowl with rosemary potatoes and a mint lemonade. Everything was absolutely delicious and everyone from the waitstaff to the owner (who came over to introduce himself) were so nice and welcoming. Very reasonably priced. I can't wait to come back and try more. Updated from previous review on 2024-03-31“
“Excellent service. Staff is very attentive. Great atmosphere. The food and mixed drinks were really good & reasonably priced. It was my first time here, and I will definitely be back. This is an independent restaurant that takes pride in what they do.“
“Leilani is the best server ever!!! She's so nice and she took care of us nicely. She made my friends and I laugh so much!!! GIVE HER A RAISE. Anyways the food was good and the atmosphere was amazing!!Dietary restrictions: There's a gluten-free menu!!Kid-friendliness: Kids menu!!“
“I've lived 5 minutes away for years and never knew what I was missing!I tried Coughlins Law for the first time with my husband and kids a few weeks ago and have already been back two more times (will absolutely be going again and again because we NEED to try everything and the menu is always changing!)So far we've tried the Crab Rangoon Nachos (massive, addictive, and the perfect salty sweet app!), the Fried Burrata (looked delicious but can't confirm because my kids polished it off instantly) the Coughlin Law Burger (loved the theatrics with the smokey dome and genuinely could taste it, too! It was like a super upgraded outdoor BBQ burger) and about 10 more dishes. The service the first time was quick and helpful, but the most recent was above and beyond. The waiter we had was so friendly and funny it genuinely felt like he was talking to old friends the whole time and it made the whole meal that much better. All that to say, I highly recommend this place to anyone who hasn't been here yet. You truly can't go wrong with anything on the menu!*Pro-tip: order as much as you can because they make for killer leftovers too“
“This place is the type of thing that can only have been thought of by a passionate player setting out to correct something that was missing in every game space. BravoVegetarian options: They have a lot of vegan and vegetarian options that made me and my partner very happy :)“
“Service was fast and the staff were really nice. Atmosphere is also top notch, the cozy lighting and contrasting colors fit the name. My biggest complaint is the food. I had the #4 Best Seller with fries. The portion sizes are top notch, but the quality isn’t. Even with the double burger patty, it was super thin and the toppings completely drowned the flavor of the burger itself. And the bottom bun was completely soggy right when it got to my table. If you’re a person like me who likes everything to blend together, you’re probably best off getting one of their simpler options. I guess my order was just piled too high for my liking.“
“Everything from the walk in the door to the very last bite was AMAZING! Cute smaller place with some seating and cute hammock swings. The owner was taking an order at the counter but greeted me and helped me as soon as he finished with them. He said it would be a 20 minute wait as items are made fresh. My food came out within the promised timeframe. The honey hot chicken sandwich and fries smelled so good, I couldn’t wait to get home. After a 30 minute drive home, the food was still hot and tasted way better than I expected after transport. I can’t wait to go back and try it fresh. This is a small made fresh business, if traveling a far distance try to check availability. Try to give them some ease and understanding that items may not be available and hours may fluctuate.“
“A delightful breakfast, brunch, and lunch restaurant at the site of the old Pamela's restaurant. It retains the same basic layout, but with a new decor, and it feels much more upscale, spacious, and cleaner. The food is international in flavor, and is delicious. I needed to look up a few things on the menu, and I always enjoy finding new things, so that was great! The service is very good, too!“
“Burger was good. Slaw decent. Milk shake was good but would have been better had it not sat on the counter for 10 minutes before I got it. After the meal I ordered a milkshake to go as did several others standing around the register. The hostess jotted down the orders on a slip of paper and handed it to a guy behind the bar. I offered to pay, she declined. Said " pay at the bar." Shakes would come out and sit while the bartender tried to track down who ordered what then took payment. As the shakes say there melting. Seems like there had to be a better way“
“My husband and I were in town while March madness was going on and we were looking for a sports bar with good food. We found it here at Forbes Tavern! Recommend the wings and brussel sprouts! A bonus was the awesome early 2000s music selection!“
“These ladies are the BEST !!! I've ordered from here over 30 times now, eat in & call ahead pick up. My order is always spot on, food is always hot & super tasty, done in a prompt timeframe. Always packed in there because they are so good & consistent. One of my favorite places to eat in Bloomfield. Thank you to the staff for always taking such good care of me & our staff here at P&W!“
“Wicked busy Friday night, the 2 bartenders were swamped, they still have a great attitude and go the job done in a timely manner. It was disappointing that no manager came to help these girls or a busboy or someone, but these girls killed it!!We had a group of 8 or 9 at the bar and we didn't need anything..Food was excellent, came out quickly, cooked properly, looked great.. we will be back!“
“Great service, delicious sandwiches and large portions for the price. Since the meat was tender, our 14-mth old tried the Wiz, the Cathedral and the Butcher and loved all of them. We will be back since it is a short walk from the National Aviary, Carnegie Science Center and Children's museum.“
“Good food, relaxing atmosphere. Outdoor eating. Very good appetizers.Mussels in a homemade white sauce, Nonni's meatballs, truffle fries all very good. We have had good burgers and pizza as well. They also have an upscale bar with well made cocktails. Fun local pub.“
“Great little spot with friendly staff / owner and nice local hometown feel ❣️ we stopped in for dinner with a toddler and infant and got a nice quiet booth where they provided coloring materials for the toddler as well as a booster seat. The service was wonderful! They also support a new local brewery (Magnetar) and the beer was delicious!!! We will definitely be back when we want a low key family night out ?“
“Max & Erma's is one place you will never be dissatisfied with in their food. I have had their French onion soup before and it is amazing, so I thought I'd try their clam chowder. What a delight to get a spoon full of classic in every bite and not a mouth full of potatoes. I would have liked a bit more clam flavor and salt“
“We ordered take out which consisted of the fish and shrimp dinner and a specialty pizza. Three big pieces of fish and three jumbo shrimp beer battered and cooked just right with a big order of fries. Pizza was perfectly done. We will definitely be visiting again.“
“We love Rachel! My wife and I went on our first date to Stinkys over a year ago and had Rachel as our server and bartender. She was so friendly and attentive and made our first experience so wonderful. We came back again last week and was hoping to see Rachel again and we did! She was our server again and gave just as great as service as the first time. Food was great I definitely recommend the wings and stinky chips. My wife loves the wedge salad. Awesome atmosphere. Thanks Rachel we will definitely be back again soon!“
“Food was delicious, as usual. I really enjoy being able to build my own burger. Service was perfect. Everything you hope for when you dine out.Vegetarian options: The impossible burger is available, and you can customize it as you best see fit.“
“Great experience!! If you are really lucky Dom will be your server. Everything was prompt, he kept our drinks full, and didn't let our food sit under a warmer to dry out.. The ribs, IMO, were the best value out of everything ordered.. they were super smoky, tender where expected, paired well with the fries (PRO TIP: ask for BBQ sauce on side)... The slaw could use some work (dry more like a salad) and the baked beans are our least favorite of everything. They had a strong taco taste.“
“We were highly recommended to this restaurant and really enjoyed it. The bbq chicken was tender and really good. The home fries were very delicious. The roast beef cheese steak was excellent. Our only complaint was the red potatoes were very bland and lacked any kind of flavor. The atmosphere was very neat and we especially liked the table clothes that were made out of jeans. We highly recommend this restaurant.“
“We have been here several times over the past year and the food and service has always been the same-- great! We have never had a bad experience or meal. We have also had take out and love the special holders for tacos that keep them upright. All of employees have been polite and friendly. We have not experienced any of them acting stressed or in a rush. Mercedes is such a great bartender. She helps to select the best drafts with her knowledge of each one. I love it when someone knows their IPA's! She is also a delight to talk to and makes us feel so welcome. The happy hour lasts until 7pm! This is a very good and clean neighborhood place, and it's certainly no dive bar in the traditional sense.“
“I’ll start off by saying if the prices were lower, I’d be giving them five stars. The burgers are honestly very good but for what it is, and the portions, I feel it’s a tad overpriced. We’re paying about the same as one of Chicago’s best burger spots, but I usually leave there full. I never leave burghers full even though I finish my burger and fries. I don’t know what it is, I think the burger is not as filling as it looks? But it’s really good don’t get me wrong lol not a big fan of their beer, haven’t had one that I like that much yet. I’m more of an 11th Hour girl. But yes good experience overall and their smashed burger was way better than I thought it would be! I also love the CYO option because I Iike to add other veggies on top of the mushrooms. Yum!“
“The range of culinary opportunities to explore here is wide, which is only boosted by their well balanced and crafted dishes. I like the rough hewn, subdued atmosphere, the on tap selections, and my servers have either met or exceeded my expectations. Also, their menu is funny. I really like coming here.“
“Every Lent I go on a fish sammich quest. Who has the best fish sammich in the Pittsburgh area. My wife and I have been from Cranberry, to Moon Twnship, to Greensburgh to our local are in search of who has the best fish sammich for 2024. Hands down, House of 1000 Beers, New Ken, has by far the best sandwich. The fish was incredible , crispy, clearly patted down before putting on the bun. About 3 to 4in longer then the 12in bun. The bun itself was perfect. Lettuce, tomato, onion and cheese. Perfect tartar sauce…daaaamn! It is by far the best fish sammich in 100 mile radius. Whoever is making these in the kitchen is doing a great job. They take pride in their craft, job well done! Seriously, if ur looking for the best fish sammich, look no further than House of 1000 Beers , New Ken. Damn, job well done.“
“Never a bad meal at this place! Food is top-notch!! The service is right up there, too. Luckily, I don't ever have room for dessert because they always seem to be out of a lot. The location in Caste Village has a tendency to get noisy when the place is busy just because it's so big and open, but that doesn't deter me from going. The food is well worth it!“
“We drove 6 hours from Richmond Va to New Kingston Pa for a concert. We got there with enough time for a meal before and decided to eat here.Let me tell you amazing. All the way around. Could not have asked for a better spot to eat.But most of all this is the most amazing salad I have had in a long time.I wish the best for this place and if you’re thinking of going here. Do so! Don’t think twice.“
“Was there Saturday evening with four friends. First time. This is a very welcoming and friendly place. The service was excellent both at the bar and at the table. We were very well taken care of. And everyone loved their food. The soup of the day was Wedding Soup. It was absolutely delicious. Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu items that I couldn't decide on. Highly recommemded!Parking: In addition to on-street metered parking, there is a metered lot across the street with lots of space. And it's cheap.“
“THIS PLACE IS THE BEST PIZZA PLACE IN PITTSBURGH AS A PITT STUDENT THIS PLACE IS THE ONLY PLACE OPEN ENOUGH FOR ME TO GET A SLICE OF PIZZA LATE AT NIGHT. EVERYONE GO HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE WOWED. IF YOU DONT WANT GOOD FOOD DONT COME!!! ALSO THE FRONT DESK GUY IS EASY ON THE EYES ❤️❤️❤️“
“Big fan of this dive bar! Perfect place if you need quick food and a drink, and can sit at the bar. Also great to go with a group after a long bike ride on the trails! All the wraps are 10/10. Pump track wrap and rail trail are my favorite. I've had the best burgers ever here but they are not consistent. I think it depends on who is cooking because sometimes the are cooked to perfection, and other times they are dry and over done. But the toppings are always unique and good. Service is what you would expect from a dive bar, always friendly and attentive but let you be with your food and beer. Cool place.“
“Service with a smile! Great place to take a date, and it's also a great place to take the family! Full bar with excellent drink choices, common soft drinks, kids menu, and full menu. I, personally, had the Whiskey River BBQ burger. It was delicious, but bring the napkins. The atmosphere was family-friendly, with a staff that was friendly and helpful. Clean dining area. I would highly recommend this stop if you're in the Pittsburgh area, it's kind of pricey, but with the large portions, it's worth it.Parking: Their own parking lot, plenty of space.Kid-friendliness: Full kids menu, friendly environment.“
“Journee was a very nice waitress and overall I enjoyed my visit. They have free wifi and a plug somewhat close by if you need to charge your laptop (bring a long cord). The bathrooms are super nice and they do a good job of managing food allergies. All that being said, unfortunately every time I visit a burgatory, the food is always just meh. It doesn't really have much flavor and the gluten free bun was stale. If they can fix that I would definitely come here more oftenDietary restrictions: Gluten free bun available“
“I've never wrote a Google review before, I was compelled to do so because my food was 10/10. I loved my burger, it was such a good burger. I doordashed and I got it and it was still hot, it was a heavenly burger--and I am very particular about burgers. I was so satisfied that I will be ordering again because it was just that good. Money is valuable and money spent at Tallgrass burger is money well spent.“
“Can't beat the value of the Saturday buy 2 get 1 free chicken thigh sandwich deal. My only complaint is that the size of the chicken seems to have shrunk over the past year. Taste is competitive with other chicken sandwiches of its price range. Other menu items can be a bit lackluster, hence only 4 stars.“
“Was in town over the weekend for the Steelers game and wanted to check out places I’ve never been.I knew when I walked in the door and the bartender was wearing a Pumpkinhead shirt I had found what I was looking for. This will be a must stop whenever I’m in Pittsburgh and next time I’ll make sure to come hungry. Menu sounded bomb!“
“Best value for money. Hands down. The service is almost fast food style and you grab your food and eat or takeaway. The seating area is very basic but comfortable. Had the shawarma and it was basically enough for two servings. Its huge. The taste was okay. Had the chicken samosas. They are not as spicy as Indian samosas but still very well seasoned. Definitely one of the best cheap eats in Pittsburgh.“
“The bar is very clean and the bartender was friendly. The side salad was crisp and tasty. The yuengling draft was good. Shots are fat. Only down side is price. Wings are very expensive, $11 for 6 and like $19 for 12. Wing quality was mediocre at best. I wasn't impressed at all. They were cooked well, however. Shots are $6.50. Come on.... draft prices were OK.“
“I recently moved here from NY and having been looking for something “similar” to NY pizza . I had given up hope until my husband came across Leone’s. Their pizza is exactly like NY pizza. I am SO happy to have found this place and it is so close to my “
“Stopped in looking for a sandwich and came upon the steak and chimichurri sandwich. I was hesitant at first due to the price being $20 for a sandwich and side salad, along with the steak possibly being over cooked, but my worries were washed away after it arrived. The steak was juicy and tender and the sauce that it came with was to die for. The side salad was just ok and nothing special but the sandwich was definitely worth the price point and could definitely be split between two people or as a take home meal. The servers who brought the meal were sweet and very friendly! The bakery square City Kitchen dining area is a great place to enjoy a meal with friends and family.“
“Attached to the Uptown Pizza and Wings restaurant and located close to Downtown Pittsburgh, Uptown Cafe & Boba features boba, jelly tea, espresso, and desserts in a cozy environment.Pros:• Priced generously: Only $5 for a 24oz portion of boba milk tea.• Great flavor on all menu items. Featuring La Prima coffee — yum!• Open late: Uptown Cafe & Boba is open until 12:45am for pick-up, delivery, and dining in.• Nice atmosphere: Clean and spacious interior with plenty of seats. Free WiFi for customers.• Friendly staff.Cons:• The quality of the tapioca pearls is slightly disappointing; they tend to crumble in the mouth.Overall, while I can't say that this is my favorite boba tea spot in Pittsburgh, I can highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap, late-night fix of their favorite drink. This store is a welcome presence in Uptown and I will be visiting again soon!“
“Started ordering from Veltre’s when I worked and lived in Swissvale since1987!! Their pizzas and Italian dogs are the best and everything you order is always fresh and hot!! When my daughter in NY comes home to visit the first thing she wants to do is order the Italian dogs!!“
“A good dairy queen with above average service. The food isn't as good as some other local small business ice cream shops but the service is above average and the atmosphere and location are central to a lot of other places making this an excellent place to go for ice cream!Parking: Parking is in an adjacent lot, business is on a steep hill so turning into and out of the lot can be difficult. Parking is free and plentiful though.“
“The guys were so friendly and professional. My food didn’t take long. I just saw that they were open and decided to give it a try.I had the shrimp n grits and it was FIRE!!!!!! The potatoes looked a bit on the dark side but they were not burnt and tasted good. It wasn’t overly seasoned. My grits tho! They were creamy with a sweet taste. I wished they served breakfast more than just a day or so out of the week ?. I tried to come back the next morning lol. Please give this place a try. I’m a fan ❤️“
“This location was recommended to me by a friend, and hands down, was a great advice. The burgers were customed made by you by choosing what you want, providing you with tons of options to choose from the menu too. It did take a while to get the food, yet it came out perfectly and tasted so good. Also had sweet potato fries and milkshake, and that too was great. The environment of the place was enjoyable and had a fun time participating in their trivial game they hosted when I was there. Fun times with my friends and got 3rd place out of it.I would recommend this location!“
“This is seriously one of the best “Pittsburgh” blue-collar, working folks bar and restaurant! The owners are some of the best people you’ll ever meet and the staff are amazing! The drinks are awesome and inventive, the beer selection is one of the best in the city (including multiple ciders) and the food is just WOW. CHECK THIS PLACE OUT! They have amazing bands too, including OSPREY! They play all the great songs and really cool hard rocking originals. Big Mike’s ROCKS on all levels!“
“Always have good service food is wat you expect from a fart food restaurant but everything is good.Parking: Pretty good amount of spaces left if Lincoln highway and in front of jacks run rdKid-friendliness: Has several options for kids menuWheelchair accessibility: Has two ramp sections to get in seating inside accessible for wheelchairs“
“Food is always great and the prices are very fair. Hoagies and pizza are the absolute best here. Calzones are the only thing I was not impressed with in the many times I've eaten at Large Plain, but otherwise fantastic. This is the go-to pizza joint in the area!“
“By Far, The Best Five Guys I’ve EVER been to!!! I’m just sad it’s in another state! Definitely recommend this location when you’re in Pittsburgh. It was clean. They had great customer service, and the burger ? was made PERFECT!!!Thanks guys!“
“It's fuggin applebees bro. They do ok, but the customer service is always usually spot on for us. I hate that dishwashers are lazy as they had to stop using the taco holders for the wonton tacos and now I just get a sloppy mess in a bowl and that's irritating“
“Usually Wendy's takes forever havent been their for awhile due to the line hold up. But today I Ordered 5 of the 4/4 (have a lot of kids lol) and some other stuff. They were very polite, fast and sufficient!! I think it's a new crew, all I can say is give them a raise and don't lose them!! ??“
