“Tonight we tried out the Brookside Inn in Tobyhanna just off of 611- recently under new ownership. It's more of a local bar-bright and clean and welcoming. The menu is chock full offun bar food. We started out with slices of pizza, which had a nice, crispy crust and the perfect amount of cheese. I have yet to find a place close enough to our Lake Harmony home that I actually like the pizza-and this was definitely the best I've had in this area.The green bean "fries" with wasabi dipping sauce were my favorite of the appetizers that we ordered. The pierogies and mini tacos were also very good.We shared the cheesesteak and the patty melt-both were tasty-the patty melt is always #1 in my heart. Both were served with hand-cut fries, which I love.They have daily specials, including happy hour, DJ nights and live music, and you can even shoot some pool. Prices are great, especially for the beer.Staff was great and the drinks were perfect. Looking forward to see what the summer has to bring on their outdoor patio!
