“Just witnessed fantastic customer service! An elderly man took a very long time shuffling in. The barista at the counter ran to the handoff area to prep a bag for him. Then another barista walked with him out to his car - carrying the bag for him. Everyone couldn’t have been sweeter. It was a joy to see human kindness in an every day setting. 🥰“

But sat next to people I just met, we'll I was early sonce I came straight from work still wearing a suit, and they were pleasant hospital regulars. I’m originally from Peru and my husband has been there a few times, so we definitely compare every spot to the real thing. Uma Cafe & Peruvian Restaurant completely exceeded our expectations. The food was SO good, flavorful, authentic, comforting, and the kind of meal that instantly takes you back home. This is one of the very few places we’ve tried where we left genuinely satisfied and already talking about coming back. On top of that, the owner and staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. You can really feel the love and care put into the food and the atmosphere. Such a hidden gem. Worth the one and half hour drive from Cape May!

P.S. On our second visit, we ordered the tacu tacu with Lomo Saltado but didn’t get a picture, still 10/10.“

“10/10 experience! There’s so many cute desserts and drinks to choose from. I got the “matcha delight” which is matcha, coconut milk and lime. It was so good I can’t recommend it enough! I also got the little bunny cake with was like a layer of cake, a layer of strawberry pudding and a layer of mousse. It was so cute, relaxing and cozy inside with plenty of seating. Also plenty of parking in the front and back. Staff were super friendly and I will definitely be back!“

The worst part is - we live in Alabama so we can only ever order it for delivery!“

“Today I stopped at The Hungry A. I have driven buy there many times. As I walked in the owners and people in there all greeted me like they know me. I had a coffee and it was one of the best I ever had. The breakfast sandwich was delicious. I will be be back. But what really got to me I walk with a cane and one of the girls there saw I was having a hard time she came around the counter and took what I was carrying and helped me to my car. Today there are not many people that are kind as she was. It made me know that there is still kind people in this world. If every would take the time to be kind to someone just once maybe it could be a start to make this world just a little better“
